(Some IMPORTANT Information - Please, Read if you are Coming).

Good Evening from the Mountains of North Carolina.

(Less than 24 hours before the Start of the 3 Day Schedule of Events).

If, anyone has any last-minute questions or concerns, about tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday; Please email me at: Bill@jotbill.com

I'll be at the Fontana Village tomorrow no later than 2:45 PM & I'll be in the FV Wildwood Grill parking lot for the 3 PM meet of the Early Birds.

I will be available by email till 12:30 PM EST tomorrow & logging in tomorrow night from the Lodge, Yes they have WiFi in the Lodge.

Cell phones are another issue, mine (ATT/Cingular) gets a very very weak signal at FV, but a strong signal at the Fontana Dam. Forget about expecting any cell coverage in the rest of the Area except for Robbinsville (which is very good).

My cell # if you need me is 561-272-HELP(4357), if I'm in a cell area or leave a message, I'll get it as soon as I am in a cell area.

You can also, call the Fontana Lodge Front Desk (1) (800)849-2258 & leave me a message, if it is very important, I'll check with them regularly. I'll be staying there Friday & Saturday nights and will be at all the Events at the times Listed. Please printout the Final Schedule of Events for yourself & possibly the Driver's list for your reference & networking.

This is going to be the start of an incredible Annual XF Meet, I've already booked 50 Rooms to start for next October's Meet.

The Weekend Weather Forecast (Updated 10PM Thur), it just keeps getting better & better. (Yup, Top-down weather!)

Default Thanks!

Well... We are home in East Tennessee after participating in the Saturday portion of the FIrst Annual Crossfire Dragon Event... The day and the cars were beautiful... The company was great... Can't wait 'til the next one! We just need more cars and bodies!

This would have been impossible without the expert organization that our old Marine, Bill, brought to the show! Special thanks are due to him and to everyone else who made this such a great event!

I am eagerly awaiting to see the photos from all who attended and took pics !!
I really wanted to go but from Chicago it was about 11 hours.
Although I love to drive my Crossfire it would have been a heck of a round trip weekend besides all the miles at the dragon and surrounding areas.
Hope everyone who attended had a blast. Post your pics soon.

Gary

WOW!!! Super GTG. We just got home, 10 hrs. We pig trailed found a few new crooked roads, about 4 hrs to Hendersonville, NC, but a lot of fun. The Dragon Tail is fantanstic, you could get adicated very easy, after running it a few times. Bill thanks for all your work. Toy will be in later tonight, sounds like they had a great time after we left. Pat followed us out and I know he thinks we flipped out when we turned off on our first pig trail NC 28 to Franklin, then US 64 to Highlands and on to Hendrsonville. But that Dragon is WOW!! Can't get the smile off.

Bill, I have to salute you Sir for a job well done. What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL weekend you arranged for the Dragon run. (I wish I had your "weather man" connections).
Spending time with some of the nicest people anywhere, enjoying what has to be the BEST sports car road in the U.S.of A, right in the middle of the most beautiful scenery the South East has to offer, who could ask for anything more?
I think chasing You and "The Toy" all over the "Smokey's", then wrapping the whole day up with the 11 miles of the Dragon's Tail was the most fun I ever had in any car I've owned.
Going home this morning, Barb tackled the Dragons Tail and really enjoyed herself, maybe next time she can do it in her own roadster.(She's still talking about the ride that you gave her in yours).
I noticed KillBoys already had a few photo's of my car in their gallery for Friday afternoon when we made our first run on the Dragon, and I'm looking forward to seeing everybody Else's photos too. http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Orde...M0040049&po=49
To all those who couldn't make it, we missed ya, and you owe it to yourselves to come see what a fantastic job your Crossfires can do on the wildest road I've ever seen.
Maybe next time, SilverFox will behave himself, and he won't crowd a Porsche so much that he made him pull off the road. Our Hero!!
Thanks again Bill for all your time and effort, I know it was appreciated by everybody.

Well I would like to start out by saying anyone who missed out on this gtg missed a great time and some great runs. This is the first time I've ever run my car this hard and it felt really good. I got home around 8:20 PM (in the rain) and I was tired but at some point somewhere in Virginia Irwin came flying by at about 80 to 85 mph and he probably got home at least an hour before I did. I was only cruisin at 70 mph. It was good to see some old friends from other gtg's and meet some new friends that I hope to see at future gtg's. I hope that scheduling at work allows me to make it next year at the Dragon. Bill thanks for all your hard work and scouting out the Dragon so when we needed anything you knew exactly where to go. I wish I had some pictures of the Dragon but it really hard to take pictures with both hands on the steering wheel. Well with out a doubt this was one of the most memorable cruises I've ever been on, by the way are there any Killboy pictures of us on the Dragon on Saturday or was that just a lone photogragher taking pictures? Well I hope to see everyone at another gtg soon, good times in a great car!!!

Where do I begin, what a fantastic weekend. Many thanks to Bill for all his hard work and making sure no one was left out. Can’t wait to see the video from AllX'dUp – thanks Terry. The location, weather and roads are just awesome. The dragons tail is just incredible. Driving my car this morning I just couldn't help but think about the runs we made. Driving my car will never be the same.

This was our first meet but hopefully not our last. We both really enjoyed meeting everyone, what a great bunch of crossfire owners. If you didn’t make it this year, you have to come next year.

We have some video and pictures that I’ll post soon. I have video evidence of Irwin’s black coupe hanging with the SRT’s on the dragons tail

Hi Pat,

Yup, that was one He _ _ va a Weekend, wasn't it. Thanks for coming all the way from Maryland & I sure enjoyed dinner with you, Irwin, & Jeff Cobb on Saturday night. (& our thanks to Irwin for his Hospitality at dinner).

It may have been one of Killboy's competitors, I'll check their postings & post, if we have some.

Update - Here it is, I found it on another Photograher's Site: http://www.photoreflect.com/PR3/Albu....aspx?a=462455

We were running a little too late after 5 PM, should have been there at 4-4:30 PM. We were late at the Dam, waiting for the rest of the "Confirmed XFs" & doing a "Wake-Up Call for "Irwin" (Picked up three more XFs though), we were a little more late at the BBQ Restaurant (my fault), a little late at the Potty stops.
I'll tighten it up for next year's Meets & let Killboy know, "don't leave (for) home without us". (He had our schedule, but we were so late he must have thought we passed on it). (I would have called him, but No cell coverage in the Dragon).
Well, he shot us a lot on our double Dragon run on Sunday with the 8 still in the running.
(& we have over 200 miles of "Professional Video" thanks to Terry, 'AllX'dUp').

My Best!
Bill (SF)
