Please add us to the list, we will probably run with the Florida group, we will be the ones with Georgia plates "XFIRE13", you all missed a great GTA last weekend. Meeting other XFire owners is really neat!

Great you're added as Confirmed~! Will look for "XFIRE13" at the Dragon. Keep checking in for the latest updates & scheduling.
Had a Great Run myself on the Blue Ridge Parkway today at 4,000 to 6,000 Ft & Just a Gorgeous day, with the Colors just starting to show @ 4,000 ft and above.
See y'all at the T of D!

Wow, I've been following this thread, but haven't spoken up as of yet. I'm not going to be able to make the trip in November, as I have a friend tying the knot that weekend, but I have driven the Dragon several times before in previous cars. For those of you that have never done it, it's the ultimate driving treat without renting a track.

Would anyone be interested in doing it again in the Spring? I'd be 100% up for an April Slaying... Maybe we could revisit that at a later date, but I'd be happy to coordinate a Spring run.

I'll be there for the Spring meet (that's a good idea), sorry you can't make the Nov one. Let's see how many we can get for this Nov!

Thanks Toy, Yup, that's one of my favorite bookmarks!
We're counting on you to bring Up a Big Group from the Florida Clan.
That will make my Fox happy, as it's roots are in Florida.
See you there & PM me for my phone #, & your phone # if you'd like to help.
Your Group could all stay together somewhere in NC,(we're about 450 miles from Gainesville)
and I'd be glad to help you find a place before I leave Sat or when I come back on 10/31.

My Best!

Need to switch my status to a maybe. The fiancé doesn't like the crossfire (I know - it shocked me at first too), and refuses to spend his vacation time going with me - so I'm searching for a travel-buddy at the moment. I don't want to travel 16 hours by myself... lol.

Sounds like you need a "New" Fiancé? I'll change your Status, but I'm sure you'll get a new travelin buddy & maybe a New Fiancé? (Just kidding).

Lol. He's just extremely logical and economically-minded; he would drive the ugliest car out there as long as it got superb gas mileage and low maintenance costs.

I'm having trouble finding a friend to go. It doesn't help that most of my friends have small children.

Wow, the Texas panhandle, that would be our farthest participant, yet?
Anyone else coming from a further distance?

Bill (SF)

BTW, I'm a CPA,("logical & economically-minded" for my Clients) but I don't let that get in the way of my Passion.

I'm planning to go test drive a red '05 saturday. So far, things look good for a purchase and if so, count me in for the dragon. It was a great weekend last year and the area was quiet and beautiful. I hope the cops are gone by that time, but hey, so what.

strupgolf,
Great News, good luck with your test drive!
It's still in the mid 80's here, the THP has thinned out a bit.
I'll put you down as #34 with a ? mark, please let me know.

Thanks again!

Very Kool Strup...look forward to seeing you there...I have yet to make my reservation for us but I do believe we'll be staying at the Fontana Lodge. Where are you located? Oh and welcome to the club!

Allx'up, thanks. I stayed at Fontana Village last year and it was wonderful. great restaurant, bar, and cabins. I plan to stay there again because it is the central location for the "gap". Like I said, there is also a Porsche Club gathering that weekend. I will make a reservation for a cabin, rustic as they say. Hey, I only sleep there and nothing else. "Rustic in terms of, bring your own towels, etc. We had 2 guys sleep out in the woods last year and I wondered how they got along, it was butt-frigging cold, but they did it. All I need is a towel, sleeping bag, water, and coffee. Let the fun begin.
