The speed at this event was limited some 5-6 years ago after the driver of a Dodge Viper hit the barrier.
Up to the that date the track marshals had only a track car at the front, which allowed individual cars to hold back and have space to accelerate momentarily up to approx. 100 to 110 mph. After the viper experience the Track Marshals located a car at the front and rear, and sometimes one in the middle. When we hit the track they put us in groups of approx. 8-10 cars, and we do 4-5 laps. After these laps you can do a further set of laps for an additional cost. Remember this is not a race, just a way of us getting together and enjoying each others cars. After the laps you can purchase a picture of you and your car in the Winners Circle for $10, ALL going to Childrens Charities. This event used to take place Twice a year but now sadly only once. We generally all stay in the Motel 6 at a discounted price, and our Pool Parties are a great event also, enjoying each others company and talking Crossfires. Just come Join us and have some fun, you will NOT regret it.

Our track time 5:10 which is a little earlier than the past. I've updated the schedule in the original post. Don't forget to pre-register to save $10 https://texas.speedwaycharities.org/.../registration/

This is a first. Yesterday TMS sent me a list of the car groups and times:
5 PM - Michele Smith
5:10 PM – DFW Crossfires
5:20 PM – Lone Star Camaro
5:50 PM – New H New Era
6:30 PM – North Texas Muscle Car Club
6:50 PM – Cedar Creek Mustang Car Club
7 PM – North Texas Power Stroke Association
8:30 PM – North Texas Mustang Society
8:45 PM – Lone Wolf Ford & Mustang
They are encouraging car groups to stick around for the "Show and Shine" after the track run.

As usual had a great time meeting up with Old and new friends. Many complained the track speed did not meet their expectations, BUT I managed to reach 100 - 105 MPH, mainly by riding high on the banking when the Marshalls were riding low, giving me time on my exit from the banking to punch it for a short while. I always enjoy the track no matter what, just seeing a group of us Crossfires together always thrills me. A few pictures attached.

While at the TMS Motel 6, just could not stop myself from taking some underhood pictures of Steves V8 Coupe. Talk about being tight. ???? Well Done Steve, a tremendous job, could not be better.
What is your annual budget for tires LOL.

Glad to see I'm not the only one amazed by his work and very very clean looking install on this!
