Hello!!
Thought I'd post a quick hello, as my first post, to everyone on this great site!
I've recently purchased a 2005 White Roadster, used with only 5,000 miles on it. I was in the Ford dealer looking to purchase a new GT and saw this beautiful car sitting there in the used lot calling my name. I had always loved the look and performance of this car but never imagined having one. It's more than i could imagine.
I've seen members posts with numbers next to there car description. Where would I find that number to my car?

Great Thanks.
And how would I know if it's a Limited Edition?
The Ford dealer knew very little about the car and I'm still waiting for him to send me an extra key and original owners manual.

Do you have leather seats? If so it's a limited. Also the louvers on the side of the car and the collar around the windshield will be a silver color.
This is a alabaster limited crossfire coupe. I stole this photo from fritzauf's sig.

You will probably have to stay on top of the ford dealership to get your extra key. Once they find out how much they are they won't be to happy about getting one for you. Good luck and welcome to crossfireforum.org. They are planning a run in florida this weekend (I believe) you might want to try to hook up with them. You'll have a blast and you might learn something. Anywho congrats on your recent purchase.

Thanks everyone. And thank you John for the invite. Unfortunately, I have family coming in from New York on Saturday but would love to attend the next meet. I used to belong to a Vintage VW club in NY (still do) and we always had a blast. Putting faces to names was always alot of fun.
Mustang GT. The dealer did have 4 GT40's in the showroom. If fact, when I went back to finalize the paperwork a man in his 70's purchase the grey one with CASH!!! They had to move 3 cars to get it out of the showroom. It must be nice...
You made the right choice. Here on LI, as nice as they are in all their forms the new Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Same can be said for Corvettes C5's, C6's or Z06's. If you like to see yourself coming and going they're great. But for my hard earned money I want to drive something different. The Crossfire is that.
buggy-
I know first hand. My wife and I moved down from Huntington 9 months ago and they were everywhere on LI. It's the same down here in Florida. Mustangs and Corvettes. I might see 2 - 3 Crossfires every week or so. Love my Roadster and I like to be different also.
I also drive a fully restored '66 white VW that I completed before I left NY.

There are two planned... One for mid-September and another for mid-October...

Congrats and welcome to the forum. FYI: I have seen transmitter keys listed on ebay for about $30. Programming is fairly easy (do a search in this forum) and get a local locksmith to cut the new key from original.
