Roadster Basic - what are differences
I'm seriously looking at an '05 Roadster in Basic trim... It is with a Chrysler dealer (they obtained it at Chrysler auction), has 2,600 miles, black in color and they are asking $24,900. It seems in perfect condition and this seems like a good value (hopefully they will negotiate down some). What are the major differences between the Basic and the Limited? Is there a place to go where all the differences are listed?
Thanks.
Thanks.

But here are the differences (though probably not all of them) between the "Basic" and "Limited".
- The Frame around the windshield is black or the same color as your car, i'm not sure which one. On the limited, it's silver.
- The seats are cloth and not leather.
- The seats are not heated.
- There isn't a premium sound system, just a regular one.
That's all that I can really think of... I'm sure you can find more on the forums or someone else would post them.
As far as the price, I'm not too sure that's a good price. Although I could be wrong. You can probably find a Limited Roadster with maybe a little more miles for the same price... I'm not sure.
All of the trim is black (windshield, door handles, side strakes).
No tire pressure monitoring system.
No fog lights.
No luggage.
Only available with a 6 speed.
Do a search and I'm sure you can find that this has been discussed in detail before. Also Chrysler should have all the differences listed on their website.

If you want to do a side by side comparison, go to the Chrysler web site, and select the Crossfire. They are listed there, but what the others have listed is true, plus it comes in cloth seats only, no garage door opener, fog lights, navigation, black only. On the other hand, look around. You should find a Limited with about the same mileage for about that price, maybe just a tad more.
Just picked up a new Base Roadster in October, most likely one of the few base models left in the US as I did not see them in many Chrysler Dealer Inventories Search It's black, on black, on black, on black. Pretty much all black. Wish I had known about this forum prior to purchase as I might have held out for a lower price, but I did OK, about 10K off MSRP and they included $ 500.00 worth of accessories and an extended bumper to bumper warranty. But heck, I probably could've bought it for $12.00 based on some of the prices paid on this forum. Impulse buy, a unique design and fun to drive. I'm half deaf, but even I can hear the growl on the exhaust which sounds great. Funny story, I drove it to where I store my '92 Lexus SC400 for the winter, and parked next to the SC was a new MB SLK. A very nice SLK indeed; I'm sure it is a wonderful ride, but I drove my crossfire home thinking for 20K+ less, I pretty much get the same driving experience. Have a safe and thankful holiday!

The differences are on the Chrysler website.

There are more differences than you may thin. The question is do you want the features and what are they worth to you?
