Cool Just Bought a new 2005 Roadster LTD - need some advise

I just bought the car from a dealer - 9 miles - new. Is there anything that I should do to the car since it "sat" for 2 years? The car was dealer prepped and I Amoralled all rubber and plastic. I waxed with Zaino. Anything I should shoot with WD40 or silicone? Any other suggestions?

Also, the dealer scratched both headlight plastics (looks like they buffed them a little too hard) - I didn't notice until I got home (I live around huntington, NY & bought the car in PA), the dealer said I should bring it to a local dealer and they will fix it under warranty. Can anyone suggest a good dealer on LI - one who works are Crossfire?

I am originally from Long Island (Smith Point), and use to have my XFire serviced at Browns Chrysler Jeep in Patchogue. Word of caution do not take it to Bay Shore Chrysler Jeep. Also one other caution I never use Armorall on anything that I want to keep pristine.

What do you use instead of Armorall?

I use a few different products for different applications.

Rubber/Vinyl Care: Wurth Rubber Care, Poor Boys Trim Restorer, Meguiars Back to Black.

Tires: Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel.

I would recommend that you get a new pair of windshield wipers. Mine had dry rot (bought it in Oct. 2006, and the rubber ripped on both within 2 weeks on one, and two months on the second.

Bosch Icons look good and work well.

Hey CDT I'm from Dix Hills and bought mine thru Huntington Jeep/Chrysler as I have 10 other cars since 1993. Their service dept is the reason I keep buying cars there. Too bad you went so far to buy, they now have my car there but with a 6 speed at the rebate price. See Mike in Service and tell him Marc Mankuta sent you. You'll be well taken care of. Best of luck. You're now one of the fortunate few.

IMO ArmorAll works real well on the plastic headlight lenses and acrylic (like the OEM windscreens). It takes out the little swirl scratches and makes them easier to clean. I've used it for 30 years on my cycle windshield and it looks new. No yellowing.
