Default Good deal or not

Just joined the forum and thinking of picking up a new 2007 Crossfire Limited Convertible from my local dealer. I took it for a test drive today and was thoroughly impressed. The MSRP was $41,640 and is being offered for $28,990. Can anyone let me know if this is a good deal or not...I'm in Panama City, FL

That seems to be the going price for new limited convertibles (12.5k factory cash incentive).

If you don't mind a used car, the SRT6 convertibles can be had for around the same price, probably a thou or two cheaper.

I would say you could do better.. I just picked up a new 2007 limited roadster and the driveout price was $28K even, thats with all taxes and papers and title and license included. The price before tax and ttle was $25.6K .. And yes the sticker is around $41K ... so it was around $15K off MSRP...

That's about what they go for unless used, I'd buy a used though for less.

I bought my 07' in Nov and paid 25k which was a little over 12.3k under the sticker price...BUT mine is not a limited. I'd have to say it is a pretty good price, but given it is now 08', you might be able to do a little better.

Wait a minute; Isn't MSRP on a Limited Roadster around $47K?

Are you sure $41K MSRP isn't the base?

Here's the link...and thanks for all the replies...think I'm going to make the plunge tomorrow. The car is new and has 43 miles on it. This forum is excellent and I'm looking forward to being a member.

Maybe you can use this to further negotiate.

Good luck!

Just in case you didn't notice, this car uses premium fuel and synthetic oil. Depending on where you live, you might want to cut a deal on changing out the tires or a further discount as the Continentals really suck in my opinion.

Either way, I think you will enjoy this car for a long time....I know i plan to enjoy mine.

I'm no expert being a new owner of a coupe myself, but the picture they have posted, although a stock picture, I think is of a base, not limited model. Search the forum for the differences and take a close look tomorrow. The most obvious from the picture is the black windshield molding. What dealers/sellers say in advertisements and what it is are often two different things.

You are correct......the pictures are of a base model.

Well it's a done deal...picture on the web site was a base model and yes it is the limited edition. A lot of finesse, pushing and pulling. Got 10k for my truck and walked out the door paying 18.5k cash (included sales tax, dealer's prep, tax, title and license). Heck even got them to do the 1st year of oil change free! Probably could have got more but I was itching to drive!!!

Put 200 miles on it already driving the beaches of Panama City and Fort Walton. Got a lot of looks from the barely clad bikinis down from spring break.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions...I'll be checking back soon. Have to take the wife for a drive tonight.

Congrats on your purchase! Enjoy the ride.

PS, does your wife know you purchased it to pick up the girls in bikinis on the beach. LOL
