Default Punch outs in the hood latch support bar...passenger side empty

If you stand in front of your roadster and look at the stamping (usually painted same as car color) you will see half a dozen punchouts. Some are small rectangles 3/4" or so, others are rectangles with another notch on one side. One is an oval. There is a cluster of them on both sides of that latch support bar. They are not arranged in a mirror image pattern, but in an upside down mirrored pattern. Without a picture that's the best I can do.

Question is: In my car the punchouts on the drivers side are full, they have plastic anchors and the farthest one to the right on the dirvers side has a rectangular plug. The passenger side has the punchouts in the upside down mirror pattern but they are empty.

What are the passenger side punchouts for? Is this about left hand and right hand drive stuff...?

Can you provide a picture of what you're talking about?

The srt has them on the opposite side. I'll have to see what's there next time I take the grill off.

That's interesting. I don't remember seeing anything under there when I installed my needswings intake. I'm going to have to keep up with this thread, since I'm 2000 miles away from my crossfire.
