Default Hooks/posts in trunk

I was wondering if anyone knew what the two posts/hooks one on either side of the trunk opening are for?? I never noticed them until today, they are kind of tucked out of the way almost under the trunk opening. Looks like they are similer to ones that hold cargo nets on other vehicles or perhaps grocery bag hooks ( seem kind of small though).

I believe I've read in past they are to prevent the crossfire luggage from moving all over the trunk

I put a net up in there and throw little things in it to prevent them from flying around. I'll try to take a picture later.

There is a cargo cover that pulls across the top of the rear cargo area. Like a window shade. Like they have in some Corvettes and SUV's. Yes, there are also some "cargo holders" out there to keep things in their place. Just search around, you'll find them. By the way, the umbrella hooks are on the front side of the separating wall, by the top of the seats.

The hooks I am asking about are on the roadster, not the coupe, and are located left and right, not front or back and are just below the trunk opening lip.

I always thought they were anchors for the LATCH system for car seats.

Same thing... cargo net hooks. You have the ones for umbrella in btwn the backs of the seets (passenger and driver seats)...they call them the "Umbrella" hooks...but you can hang just about any stowage device you want.... Same in the trunk area. You can "Bungie" cord or cargo net.. basically they are there so you have something to secure cargo and prevent "FLOP" of the goods when you stop ...corner.... gas it.... Just to secure your baggage...

Use at your discression ...................

I looked in mine today and can only assume... that you have not driven with your top down. I think you are refering to the what holds the divider in place that seperates the trunk space from the convertible top storage area.

If you are talking about another set of post/hooks then my car doesn't have them. PICS would help
