Our first Crossfire ride filming and some other "firsts"
Well, this was a trial run for us with filming. Kinda disappointed with how badly youtube pixellates it, dangit. All we had was our little digi-cam and the batteries bit the dust right before the twistiest part, of course (we neglected to bring spares). Next time, we'll remedy that but for now...

Here is what the weather was doing by the time we got home later that evening, so "Mischief" did her first drive in the snow (barely but hey).

And she carried her first four-legged passenger. After our mountain joyriding, we stopped by the Humane Society and brought this cute lil fellah home:

And she got her first present...
a shiny, brand new...
radar detector!
Woohoo!!
lol
It was a very, very good day.

Would love to be back in CO with my XF...maybe sometime the wife and I'll make a trip out that way. CSPGS to 11 mile reservoir would be a nice drive.
Looks like a fun ride!! We have nothing even remotely similar here in Florida, I'm hoping I can make it to the Dragon this Spring!!
Bill,
Bill,
I really enjoyed the ride, Bat ... I'm a child of the Rockies and miss the high country ... I've thought often how much fun it'd be to get my car out on mountain roads like that ...
From here in Illinois I enjoyed the ride !!
I have driven the mountains many times on vacations to Colorado but never had the pleasure of doing it in my Crossfire.
If I ever do I don't think I will want to come back home.
Thanks for sharing and the car sounds great to.

This is coming back from where Lakeshore Drive turns into a dirt road, so this section is all asphalt. The altitude at that area varies from 7200 to 7800 feet along that video, so its not too high, as some of our future videos will be up in the 10k range, especially when we take video in Squaw Pass, and other similar areas.
