New Tires/ TPS light won't go off

I had to replace all 4 tires (pot hole thread) and two rims. Now, my TPS light won't go off. I stopped by the tire place and they checked that the sensors were working...they were and the tire pressure...but the light is still on even after "resting" for a bit. Any suggestions on what to check?

Thanks!!!!

Sorry to say that the dealer must "teach" the individual sensors if their positions have changed.

The position shouldn't matter. When I had the original Contis, I rotated them side to side with no problem.

Is the tire pressure adjusted to the specs listed on the door or jam? The tire will give you max air pressure, not pressure recommended by the car manufacturer, which your TPMS are calibrated at.

I don't know what else could be wrong except a damaged/defective sensor.

Dealer time, then take the receipt back to the tire shop if they find a damaged sensor.

There appears to be a valve that looks suspicious on one of the tires. I might think the pot hole that damaged my rims and tires may have contributed, as well. However the valve is on the opposite side. Heck, with all the dealerships going down the tubes, I hope my local place is still working on our cars. Word of warning...Don't hit POTHOLES!

I had the tire place set the pressure to 34 PSI. He did use some gadget to check the sensors and they came up on this computer screen that they were working...according to the gadget...

According to my husband..it's not perfectly circular. It's oblong in shape..crimped, IOW.
