Default Roadster die-cast Model?

Has anyone ever found a 1:24 or 1:18 scale model of a roadster?
I have models of the coupe as well as a huge model radio of a sapphire blue coupe, but the only roadster was like a 1:64 scale.
I don't think they were ever made. I am tempted to get a 1:18 coupe and cut the top off and then build the canvas top. To do it right it will take some work but I really think it would be worth it.

I have a model of a red roadster with a removable top that was made in, I believe, France. I'll try to post additional info when I get home.

I've gone as far as contacting Maisto, and asking if they plan to make a Roadster. But have never gotten back to me.

Maybe I will try it from a CICCI cover letter.

Here is the link to when I bought mine. I don't think they are any longer available. If the link doesn't work just enter "Roadster Model" in the search option of this forum. There is info there.

I looked on the maisto website and they show two 1:18 scale diecast crossfires. They say image coming soon but show a description as a 1:18 Chrysler Crossfire Gold and a 1:18 Chrysler Crossfire Silver. I followed the link to a website called 3000 toys.

Try this link :

3000toys, maisto, 31140

This is confusing! In another thread here, Deb Walker just posted this link to Model Roadsters:

What I want is a 1:18 or 1:24 scale. They are available for the coupes, but not the roadster. I think we should flood Maisto with e-mail requests. Maybe then they will take us seriously.

Sorry to hear about your small one Pizzaguy....

Sent in a nice email to maisto asking them if they plan to build a roadster in the near future. Waiting to hear back.

Hey Pizzaguy have you done any work on your barbie crossfire yet. What kind of mods are you planning?

It is ordered. Should be here tuesday or so.

I'm gonna paint it red and give the doll to the dog as a chew toy.

That is a lot of money for a 3 inch long model. BTW, I found a 1:43 model Solstice roadster in a Dollar Store for $1.00. lol

About 3 years ago my daughter gave me a plastic XF for Xmas -- it's about 8.5" long (wish I could say the same for me) and made in China. It looks like a limited but it has black mirrors and all four tires are the same size. But it is a manual. Plastic plate on the bottom says Geoffrey, Inc.

I know this is an old post, but I ran across this and thought some may still be looking. I am looking but I want a roadster in aero blue. This shows one in red and one in silver.
