If I am not mistaken the SRT Front end cover is a bit different than the base and LTD front end cover. Its a different front end.

 

The SRT front bumpers are a direct fit for the NA bumper covers. You should have no problems at all.

Quite a few NA guys have already switched to the SRT front bumper cover.

I have a cover I put on but never used driving that I'm willing to sell, if your interested let me know.

I had always understood that these front end covers become, in effect, sand paper. Dirt, dust and road grime gets between the paint and the leather/cover, the car moves/vibrates and the paint becomes scratched up/dull.
Why not have a clear bra installed? It looks way better (IMHO) and actually protects the paint not damages it. Just a thought.

 

Keep the front end well waxed, clean under the bra regularly, and remove it periodically so the paint can breathe (especially if it gets wet and for winter storage). Have not had problems other than some minor wear spots in the paint on my A6, which has 126k on the bra, mostly winter driving in harsh conditions. The question is, are you man enough to remove the bra with one hand?

 

I have had zero issues with mine keep it waxed and clean under the cover and I will guarantee it will do better with rocks than the clear ,,I have a friend with a vette that has the clear and it is nicked up pretty good . its really a preference thing and I like the leather or faux ,

Do to the potential for the mismatch of paint as the rest of the car fades I have never been a big fan of bra's plus I like the free and loose look. I put a 3m clear bra on my car and luv it. It is has a 10yr warranty and protects from rocks and bugs alike. If you have never been in Florida during luv bug season it is a real concern. If you leave luv bugs on your car they will eat up your paint. With the clear bra you can just spray them off. It even included the mirrors. It is a film similar to window tint and needs to be installed by someone who knows what they are doing. It also is not cheap. The reason I spent the money on it is not 1 week after I had a curb rash from the previous owner repainted I found 2 new small chips on another part of the bumper and figured in the long run it was cheaper than repairs over time.
