Interior color options on 2005 yellow roadster.
Still asking questions in my quest for a yellow roadster.
I am dealing over the phone on a find in southern CA. No pictures yet but the listing says it has a tan interior and the salesman says it is actually a two tone brown/tan.
I can't find any information that says a brown/tan interior was offered as an option.
The car is extremely low mileage for an 05 and touted to be showroom condition.
What do you wizards think about a brown/tan interior......factory or a redo?

I'm not the interior expert here, but I've never seen a Tan/Brown interior in any Xfire pix I've ever witnessed, at least one that was a stock interior.
If I had to guess, it's aftermarket.
But I could be wrong...!!!
I'd ping him for pix, would be nice to see what it is...

straight from the 2005 sales literature, interior colors were as follows: dark slate gray, dark slate gray & cool vanilla, dark slate gray & medium slate gray, dark slate gray & cedar, that is for the Limited models. Pearl nappa leather dark slate gray for the SRT's and dark slate gray cloth for the base model
Have you checked out this one? There is a few pictures for it as well.

Thanks guys,
I have seen those and discounted them for one reason or another.....high mileage, manual transmission, interior color...
The one that has my interest is in Irvine, CA at a CarMax.....or it was yesterday. I am having it transferred to a local CarMax here in Phoenix area.
It is a yellow, 05, auto transmission, convertible with 16,200 miles and it does have the vanilla/black interior. The ad said "tan" interior but a texted picture shows vanilla/black.
Have never dealt with CarMax before but they seem to be a class outfit. It's costing me 249.00 to have the car shipped here and no further strings attached. If I don't like it I don't buy it. Plus....if I do buy it and then decide I don't like it, they guarantee a 5 day full money back return. I'm out the 249.00 but I couldn't go look at it myself for less than that.
Anyway....I'll know in a few days.

This is likely an old thread now but IMO the answer is the salesman is not knowledgeable about XF interior color options and dosent see DIRTY for what it is. The two tone is beautiful but requires up keep and the steering wheel, if vanilla, even more. All the work is well worth it
I found SD-20 All Purpose Degreaser by Spartan Chemical Co. Out of Ohio will remove the worse stain. I follow up with Lexol leather products and the area is good as new.

Looks like a very nice roadster. I love the interior color but the wheel is a pain to keep clean.
