Default To repair or not to repair...

So here's the scoop... My '05 Crossfire was recently hit on the driver side front fender. I'm looking to sell her within the next 2 weeks (moving to NYC and I wont need her anymore! -queue excitement and sadness). Anyway... I'm trying to figure out if I should get the fender repaired or just sell it as-is. Insurance quoted it at a $700 repair. At this point, my goal is to just break even on the sale since I'm in such a time crunch. I filled out the KBB questionnaire and it's rating the car as GOOD, with a price of $11,536.

I guess I'm just looking for some opinions and suggestions on how I should handle this sale. I owe about $10,500... Should I spend the $700 and try to get more or should I just price it at what I owe.

Thanks all!

~Scott

Kinda sounds like you really don't have enough time line to repair and market.

I would get the car repaired and looking as nice as possible. A good looking car will be much easier to sell that one that has body damage.

Good Luck!

If you want more money in the sale then you will have to repair it. Otherwise everyone that is interested will tell you they have to get it repaired. Also they could not use there insurance comapny to repaire so that is alot of money that would come out of the new owners pocket. Get it repaired as soon as you can. it will make the car look so much better.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for the feedback. I chose to get her repaired.. and she looks great! Now to sell (only 16 days till I move). I'll be writing a post with the details for anyone interested.

Cool.. I'm sure the new potential owner would rather have the body straight! Looks like your timeline was a little more than you initailly indicated.
