Low Tire Pressure Light On

Am maintaining the correct pressure, but the light stays on. Any suggestions? 05 Roadster. 52K miles. Thanks.

Mine too. '04. I'm assuming the battery in at least one of the sensors is dead which means replacing them, or just ignoring the light, or taping over the light until the bulb goes, or doing the mod that turns the sensor system off. Personally I'll be replacing the sensors when I do tires unless the dash bulb burns out before then, in which case I'll just leave as-is.

When I replaced my tires about 2 months ago I replaced all 4 sensors. The light was on for a couple of years. I waited till I needed tires...

How much do sensors cost? I put 60 miles/week on my car and the tires have lots of tread left. I think (hope) that my batteries will wear out before my tires do.

They seem to run between 40-60 each. The trick is interfacing to the system. I'm thinking your best bet is deal with your favorite tire store.. see if they have programmable ID sensors. This will save you a trip to the dealer.. who is the only one that can program the car to the sensor.

Make sure they are programmable sensors.. Not a "sure bring it in we can fix ya up".

I think 2 cents worth of black electrical tape will work just fine.
