Roadster Water in Trunk (SRT6)
I know this has been asked and somewhat answered, I have searched and read, but still have some questions...
I noticed water in the right side foam compartment under the trunk mat earlier this week. Dried it out, there is a little more this morning. So after reading the previous threads on the topic, I pulled the inner trim on the trunk lid, and do not see much evidence of water dripping in there, but noticed that the fasteners holding the wing, and mount are all somewhat loose. I have tightened them all up and replaced the trim for now.
What I am looking for is where the drain plugs are located under the car, I have pulled the rear under pan on the passenger side, saw one plug way out toward the quarter panel, puled it and it is dry.
I need a quick way to see if there is additional water in the trunk, I have limited time to look at it in the next few days.
The trunk mat appears to be dry. (There had been a lot of rain here all summer long).
Any ideas would be appreciated, as of this writing I am not having any electrical issues that are normally attributed to this issue, would like to avoid them if at all possible!.
Thanks

You want to REALLY be careful here - if this car is out in the rain a lot - you could end up with a lot of electrical damage that can run $1,000's to repair.
The Top hydralics and control module and the central locking pump come to mind the fastest.
I am TOTALLY unfamiliar with the stricture of the SRT Roadster trunklid, but I would most likely suspect the leak being in the lid or the trim around it.
Just be careful and take a GOOD look around, you don't want a nightmare!

I know it sounds stupid, but you might want to try one of these :

I have them under every sink in my house, and they have saved me expensive repairs a couple of times.

I have read the horror stories, which is why I am looking to check how much water has gotten in there, unfortunately the car is out in the rain a lot (daily driver).
Anyone know how much of a pain it is to strip the interior of the trunk so that I can get the foam out? Time estimate?
I may be able to spare an hour or two this evening to check...The weekend is booked solid.

Never mind the last question as to how much of a pain it may be to strip the trunk interior - its not that bad especially if you have a set of trim tools.
That being said, I got down to the alarm control module beneath the trunk foam spacer and yes there was water up to the bottom of the foam covering the module. Luckily not high enough to get the connectors wet, just a little moisture on the case. I dried everything out, pulled the two grommets from the holes on that side well and drained out about a quart of water. since I don't have the time right now to find the source of the leak i'm leaving the two grommets out to prevent water build up, wrapped an XL zipper bag around the module. After squeezing out all the water I could from the foam surround I replaced it on the module and reassembled everything. That is my interim fix until I can find and stop the leak sometime next week...
Oh, and the other side was bone dry - go figure.
Hope this may help someone in the future.

Have you taken off the "wing" and sealed up the mounts there? That is likely the source of your leak.

Thanks for all the suggestions as to where to look. I have checked all these and appear to have found and fixed my issue. It was indeed the spoiler mounting plate that was leaking. I found that out earlier in the week when I removed the trim panel on the insode of the rear deck lid after spraying water around it. It was leaking pretty good. Today I picked up a roll of 3/4" by 3/16" EPDM weatherstrip at my local NAPA store ($9.00) and a $3.00 tube of black rubber sealant. I disassembled the spoiler mount, removed all the old seal which was as others have described, not installed correctly from the factory, leaving gaps that will leak. Used a solvent to clean all remnants of the adhesive holding the old gasket, applied the new 3/4" wide seal om the trunk lid side, used the rubber sealant to seal the seam, bolted the spoiler back in place, and no longer have a leak. The only drawback to this method is that the mounting plate sits a little higher than the deck lid, but after lining my trunk with a clean dry sheet, and puring several buckets of water into the gaps, I had not one drop of water in the trunk. Hopefully this is now solved. As an agdded precaution I covered the power top control with a plastic bag (same as I did with the alarm module), just as added insurance.
Again thanks to everyone who provided assistance to help locate this issue.

You did wrong. Chrysler would suggest you bring the car in, let them order OEM parts, wait three to six weeks, and charge you something on the order of $300 to $600 (and I'm probably guessing low.)
Late to the party but you did the right thing... wing mounting points are your source for the leak. On my to do list as well...but she is garaged for the most part.
We had the same problem on a coupe. The fixed panel that the wing bolts to has poorly installed weatherstripping and it makes for a pretty bad leak that you cannot see unless the interior panels are removed.
This is a write up I did on our leak and electrical issues:
