Starting Engine by PUSHING

Can a 2006 Crossfire Roadster Limited with manual transmission be pushed to start engine. What would be the consequences?

I am guessing you want to do this just to do it and not because the car won't start with the key.......

Sprained back in pushees particularly if you try to start in first.

Is easier to park on a hill.

on old cars, when battery dies, pushing and starting was possible. On the newer cars, it was not possible (probably because of fuel system and the injectors). I am told it is because the fuel pump is electric and has to have power to supply fuel.

Used to have a Harley Sportster with a magneto ignition, didn't need a battery to run.

Learned to start with heel on pedal since if tried with toes you could break your foot.

Just guessing, but I would think that on this car, if the battery ain't up to starting it, it ain't up to running it either.
Without good system voltage, the engine is not going to start.
