Winter Storage and battery removal
Is it a good idea to remove the battery from the Crossfire for an extended period of time? I want to store the car in a storage unit and there is no electricity for a battery tender.
If I do that, should I at least go and put the battery back in once a month or so and run the car for a while? The other thing would be to just leave the battery in and go and start the car every few weeks to keep the juices flowing. The storage unit is close by, so that would not be a major inconvenience to me at all. What say you? Thanx. |
Re: Winter Storage and battery remval
The battery will be happier if stored in a warmer location than the storage shed, but you could just disconnect the negative battery lead when you leave it, and reconnect for the monthly run.
The best idea is to bring the battery home, then the day before you are going back to do the run, charge it up. The car will be fine without the battery, other than losing the radio presets. |
