rodent chewed tube

2005 roadster. Under the battery holder is a gray flexible tube about 1/8" around that a rodent chewed. ONe end looks to go into the firewall under the battery, they other towards the drivers side. Any idea what this is? Car does not start, that's another issue. Thanks guys

That tube has nothing to do with starting, I suspect your pets did not stop there.
This is a vacuum tube that runs from the rear of the manifold through the firewall under the battery tray and does the air flow actuation for the AC/heat.
If it's not too bad, it can be repaired with some slightly larger rubber vacuum tubing from an auto parts store.

I know from your previous posts that there was a question of RCM issue. Did you have the fixed? Is the car turning over? I've replaced that tube that was chewed on mine due to a crack that caused issues with the A/C.

Tighed1 is rechecking the RCM. Current issue is the fob unlocks the car, when you turn the key on to start the dash lights up and the horn blows, starter does not engage. Turn the key off and the horn stops. The spoiler is stuck in the up position too.
