Default Conv. top rail switch photos

For those that are having issues with the top switch located on the top rail above the passengers ear, here are some pictures to help you at least know what you are trying to look at.

These switches were not made just for Mercedes, find out who made it and buy one without the Mercedes part number on it. Mercedes told the maker to put the MB part number on it as a condition of the contract. You can always buy the Mercedes part if you are desperate and lucky to find one, it was sourced for the CFire but they may have used it on another car since.
In many cases these switches are industry standard sizes and are made by more than one maker. It appears to be just a micro-switch, nothing fancy at all.

I think the problem is, eventually the thin metal clip that pushes on the button gets bent to where it won't push it in far enough to make good contact.
