Default Do cops know our dirty little secret?

It occurred to me that there are certain stretches of roads where the speed limit is 55 (or 45) but it is just made for 65 mph. Of course the means the spoiler goes up... (not that I've ever driven over the speed limit!!!)

Has anybody been pulled over because the cop knew it only deployed over 62???

Thumbs up Re: Do cops know our dirty little secret?

I had the same thought, and I also don't speed (yea right!). I just keep my Spoiler up at all times.

You could always say, you were just testing it!

Why should they? You can deploy it at standstill by pushing the button. Or if the cops are behind you, you push the button up and down, to wave them before speeding away.

I've kind of wondered about that, but since you can prove that you can put it up or down at will I don't think they could use that against you. Now Porsche's on the other hand....

If that is what gets you caught then oh well at least you got busted by a car guy...

I swear mine does not go up till 70 mph.

Mine starts to go up at around 67 mph, but I get to around 80-85 mph before it is fully deployed, depending whether I'm in 3rd & 4th or 6th.

Cops cannot prove our speed on whether the spoiler is up as we can deploy manually at any speed.

On that sort of road I put it up manually and leave it there, don't like it going up and down on every roundabout!

Problem is remembering to put it down when I get home in the dark, would be nice if it dropped with the ignition - but I suppose someone could have a hand in the way or something so it couldn't work like that. Health and Safety BS sigh...

Or if you're washing the car and want to clean under the spoiler without having to have the ignition on.
I also forget to drop it when I have it up manually.
