hi guys just picked up my srt6 today when i put the it in manual mode from automatic it only goes up to 4 then in to drive. is this correct? reason i ask because i have a dodge caliber and that shows all 6 gears on the dash the crossfire only shows 4 this may seem a stupid question, but am new with the car shouldn’t it show 5 on the dash. thank you, chris

 

The display is correct it should only show up to 4 then D (5th gear).

 

Yes, that it correct. It only goes into 4th and 5th is the D. I had it in 4th gear one time tring to pick up speed on the interstate. Didn't work too well.

 

It's only a 5 speed auto!!! Sounds like its fine.

Hi, Thank you for your quick response, I’m just a stress head from the Uk. Well that's what my wife calls me among other things. Lol.

 

With the SRT6 once you get up around 135-140 something magical happens and it wants more! I don't know if that is a super secret 6th gear, but it moves. As for the person who went from drive to 4th gear; kick it to 3rd gear and live a little. Nothing like spinning the tires at 70 mph. Ha.

Not at all man! I was being a wise guy back. Humor is a good thing. No need to apologize. Me thinks you are just worried that should your xfire meet my srt6 that one of us will be covered in lil' bits of rubber and the smell of the smoke would be depressing...lol...Keep the humor flowing, it's healthy.
