I was looking under the hood this last weekend of my new to me SRT coupe. Opened up one of the air filter boxes and noticed the filter(s) should be changed. The OEM filter has the Mercedes # along with a Mann Filter# C3170/1. About 20 years ago when I sold auto parts for a living I knew Wix used Mann filters in low volume European cars so they can sell a complete line. So figured it was worth a look for my new German Chrysler. I bought a Wix #46875 for $12 something and in the box were two new Mann "made in Germany" C3170/1 filters.

how often do you think the filter should be changed?

 

Numerous variables affect how often you change
air filters. I have K&N and clean every 3-4k miles.
Other say change every time you change the oil.
I'm in Arizona, very dusty... So I chose to change
more often...
