Hi! I'm new!
If you didn't know that I was a noob to this forum.
I've been looking at a pair of 2005 SRT6 Crossfire Coupes. They're still brand new with the window stickers in them.
I was wondering if everyone here could help me answer a few questions:
#1 Are there any recalls/things I should know/TSB's that are mandatory for these cars?
#2 What kind of mods are available and how much do they typically cost, what kind of performance value do they offer?
#3 What kind of fuel does the SRT6 require, I'm assuming 93.
#4 What price should I beat the dealer down to on the price of the car? Its sticker'd at 47k new, but its almost 3 years old!
Thanks!

#2 - Mods are few, far between, and expensive. Renntech makes an ECU and Pulley upgrade that costs $3,295 and gives you around 50 more HP (I believe). Other than that, not much.
#3 - Premium, whatever that is in your area. Here it's 93.
#4 - There are some advertised on this forum for $27,999 (new). We've seen some down around 25k though.
It's a heck of a car, especially for the $ nowadays.
Good luck.

2. Renntech ECU / Pulley = about 45-50 hp costs 3k.
Speed Innovation ECU / Pulley / SL55 Intake = about 50-55 hp costs 3.4k installed.
those are our primary choices... I am sure you can do some work on the exhaust, headers, camshafts and all that and get more out of it...
3. 91 Octane is perfectly fine... if you do the ecu modification I would suggest 93..
4. You can probably pick up a new coupe at about 26k...

On the K&N remember that the AMG 112.E32 does NOT have an air bypass when the SC is not engaged. Trust that the performance issues are not with the mill getting enough air. Save your money for 1) ECU re-program 2) pulley.

How would you know the radiator fan is broke? Wouldn't the car just overheat? I here mine go on just as it almost reaches middle. It's actually really loud which I thought was unusual. Then I never hear it again, but it seems to stay around half or just over half on the temp gauge. I also run water wetter too which didn't help at all really...

Who sells pulleys besides Renntech?

More so, what are the two tuning kits they offer for the SRT? How much do they cost?
