Default ECU Upgrade 93 gold for SRT6

Has anybody else done this upgrade? I get my ECU back monday, from powerchip group. I was told that my car's HP, would between 348 & 353 Hp. I also was told not to run anything under 93 octane...The gentleman from Powerchip group, said the SRT6 was detuned 25 hp...I'm excited see if I notice a difference...

The upgrade cost was $640, I think that comes out to be a little over $27 a hp...

I've heard of quite a few C32 owners using them for their computers with good results. Unfortunately for us here in CA we're limited to the 91 octane tune. Let us know how you like it!

Let us know how it runs once you get it back in.

Also, what warranty or guarantee did they give you on the ECU?

i had my Xfire chip done on my '04 over 3 1/2 years ago! I felt a slight difference, but when I tried this biofuel additive it felt like I just had a tune-up! If your interested in performance and cleaner running engine email me at Danwanpen@aol.com for a free sample of Bioperformance! No more expensive additives needed!

Well she's IN! There is a difference, it looks like she revs up to 6,200 rpm alittle past 6,000. She has a little more rumble in her belly, and I also here the supercharger making a higher pitch sound. The tires also broke lose for about 5 feet when I hammed on it in first. {with the ESP off} The Ecu upgrade has a 3 yr warranty. If you want check out powerchipgroup.com

I have the Powerchip Gold 93 ECU chip on my Roadster Limited, it was the first mod that I had done to the car. Back in mid 2004 it cost me $425, was told that it would add 18 - 27 more HP.

That's a dam good price! I heard of some people not having access to high octane, that must suck! Here in MINN, we have 93 octane...

Anyone that has ever done this modification ever obtained any empirical results? Like a pass down the dragway or on a dyno?

Do you know any place near the TC area where there is 93 octane or non-oxygenated gas? I cannot find any.

Sorry...I don't...I know one thing is that the SRT6 should not have anything below 91 octane!

I will have to let you know what happens. I set up a Dyno test to see what I gained. I was told $80 for the test. He also said I would be working the gas pedal...Should be interesting...I'm hoping 350 HP at the Crank and 295 to 302 at the rear wheels...wish me luck..

Thanks for the reply!! I have one more question. Does anyone know if using nonoxygenated gas is preferred or it does not make a difference? I am currently using nonoxygenated gas and it seems that I get better mileage but I drive 9 miles (one way) for the gas. What kind of gas do people use?
