Just picked up my SRT-6
Good morning,
I just picked up my Crossfire SRT-6 Convertible. I bought the car from a local Chrysler dealer. It had 900 miles on it, with an in-service date of 2/07. The Sales manager was using it while they were trying to sell it.
This site is great!! A lot of information and good tips.
I'm not sure if the oil was changed at the dealer...I'm thinking it was not. You think being as though the car is 2 years old, I should have the oil changed?
Thanks,
Mike

Congrats on the find!
I've read about not changing factory fill for a while but I would think change the filter just to be safe since it's been sitting/soaking for over 2 years...
Edit: What does your FSS say? It could have been changed already (or just reset) since it works off miles and calendar days. The normal setting is 7,000 miles or 1 year, so changing the fluid at your current mileage may not be a bad idea, unless someone else thinks otherwise

I would check with the dealer. Maybe they changed it as part of the prep. I don't know if the initial oil is break-in oil.
You may want to look at joining the XFi club.

Congratulations on a Great Pick, that wouldn't be the SSB with 855 Miles on it, in St Paul, Mn, that I almost bought, would it? Got one just like it last Sat in Florida & drove back to NC, had a Great ride in it yesterday & going for another in a few minutes.
What Color did you get & where did you buy it? I've been watching All the SRT6 Roadsters this past month for Sale, very closely?
I wouldn't rush out & get the oil changed just yet, it may be that Special 1st Oil the Factory puts in & it can't be duplicated on the street.
Again, welcome & enjoy your ride!

I bought the car in Littleton, Colorado. It was the only roadster I could find. Its light blue - looks great with the black top! I'm still playing around the navigation it not as nice as the one in my other car.
