Most common SRT Color? Which one should I get?
Which color is most common?
Which one is the most rare?
I'm looking to buy one, and have my choice at all 4. I already have a graphite coupe, which I'll be trading or selling - so I LIKE graphite a lot.
The Aero Blue and Sapphire are nice as well...I can't decide which!?!?!
I like the black, but TX Heat and the difficulty to keep it clean concern me, so I'd rather go with one of the other three.
Help me decide! Post pics if you'd like. I'd really like to see a good pic of a clean Aero Blue, Sapphire Silver Blue, and Graphite side by side.
Thanks,
SQ

You'll find dumps from my SRT6 database. It's the best we've got so far, and may be the best data we get period.
Color rarity differs between Coupe and Roadster.
Good luck.

I wanted black (I always want black, but I never get it), but it is just too darn difficult to keep clean and scratch free. Silver, or variations of silver, are the easiest to keep clean and nice looking.
SSB is nice because sometimes it's blue, sometimes it's silver, and sometimes it's graphite in color depending on the light conditions.
Here are some pics of my SSB:

Cgocifer, nice car!
I like them all...guess I need to get one of each, lol
Your name doesn't stand for Coast Guard Officer does it?

Everyone has their own opinion, so here's mine. No offense or disrespect intended.
Black is the "BEST" color if the car never leaves the garage, if you're gonna drive it, don't get it...
Graphite is dull and uninspired. Kinda dead and drab looking. It just looks depressing and sad to me.
SSB is kinda ok, but reminds me too much of my grandmother's Light Blue Grand Marquis. Look around, that light pale silvery blue is almost always found on cars driven by people old enough to remember before WWII.
Aero Blue was the only choice I would accept. It's nice and attractive without being too outlandish. It sets off the curves and creases in the body very well and has some life to it.
If I could have anything I wanted, I'd have a White SRT-6 with Red Interior like the option on the Limited, but they didn't offer it...
But like I said, its gonna be your car, so get the one you like the most. Colors look different to different people. I had to look for 2 months to find the Aero Blue one without Nav in the price range I wanted, but it was the only color I would buy, period.

NeverEnough,
Good input. I saw the Aero Blue in person (when I tried to buy it), but it wasn't cleaned and waxed like my Graphite was sitting right next to it. The graphite looked much better at that point. But, again, I haven't seen a really clean Aero Blue in person (or I haven't looked hard at one), and definitely not an SRT Aero Blue.
I need to see one, and I may do it this weekend. Planning on possibly driving to a dealer that has about 20 SRT's, mostly coupes, mostly Graphite or Aero Blue, with a few black and Silver in the mix.
Where's the pics of your Aero?

It's on life support. I bought it used and its taking a while to get the car detailed to my "Standard". It should be ready to photograph by this weekend.

Ha, I bought mine used also with 10k miles on the clock. It had been driven in snow and salt during it's trip to NH from MI. It took me 4 washes, 6 wheel details, one clay bar attack, and 4 wax/polishes to get it up to my standard. Oh, I also had a tiny ding removed by DentWizard. All that's left is the windscreen (toothpaste issue we've been discussing), and the headlights (pits). The interior was surprisingly clean and without any major blemishes except for a long scratch under the glove box and a blackening (happens a lot on our cars) on the passenger side of the console (knee area). I traded a perfect, 13k mile 05 G35 Coupe for it, so I worked until it was in nearly identical condition.
Back to the color thing. NeverEnough: Funny, yet accurate description of the colors; however, I must defend SSB. Yes, you are right, it does remind me of the old blue color that GM and others used at the time, but this is a retro-inspired car that uses a lot of art-deco details of the 20s and 30s. Also, it makes the car look that much more upscale. It only looks blue in dim light as you can see in my pics above. As for Aero, typically I don't like blue (darker shades) on luxury or sports cars because they usually look down-classed; however, Aero blue looks classy. It's one of the best blues I've seen. I saw one in person after I bought mine. It really does look good. I'm glad I got SSB because it hides imperfections well, looks classy, and changes from silver to blue (so I don't get bored) with light.
Ok, I'm done typing now!

Its all opinion... but people have posted theirs so I will post mine...
SSB - eh hate this color... almost like a pale silver or lack of color... I would rather get the car in fruity color...
Black - Love it I generally buy all my cars black, yea washing and all that is a pain, but it sure is worth it...
Aero Blue - Sorry, but I am a little to serious and fruity colors like light blue and Green, orange, pink, and yellow just don't really fit me all to well... although i kinda like it...
Graphite - This is the color I bought my crossfire in.. it is a color in style right now and I like it almost as much as I like black, but it is SOOO much easier to keep looking beautiful and besides it kinda gives it the aston look that I love... if this color was not available I would of bought black and if Black was not available I would of not have purchased this car...

So no one likes the black, yet it's the most popular color for the srt-6 with over 60%.
I love my black, and haven't found it too hard to keep it clean. It looks awesome though, when it's just washed. I think it's harder to keep the tires clean.
When i was buying the srt-6, the sales manager told me he never buys the aero blues, because they are the hardest to sell. He said blacks and silver are the best. But i guess it's all preference, like everyone been saying. I think it looks sweet in every color.

Well, I'm secure in my seriousness since I hold a blue belt in Kenpo Karate, and can bench over 270, but I also don't like car colors that everyone else has. Yes, graphite is a color that is very popular right now. That is exactly why I didn't want it. I don't like being a sheep and doing what everyone else does. I like colors that enhance class. I like a sports car to look fast (the shape and wheels alone do this on the XFire) and classy. This car looks good in all colors. That is my opinion. Oh and another positive about SSB: The gaudy window surround, side strakes, and door handles blend in much better than they do on a dark car. It looks waaayyy more uniform and classy.
P.S. Sidez,
Just messin' with you.

The Crossfire looks gorgeous in black but would be too difficult for me to keep clean, so that color was nixed.
SSB is an interesting color but I rather it be either more silverish or bluish. The color is just to in-between for my taste.
Graphite (charcoal, gray, whatever you want to call it) looks good but to me the aero blue just looks better. Besides, there were no graphite ones when I bought mine.
Aero blue looks best in twilight under a street lamp. If only I could bottle the color and sell it...
