Rough Ride ???
Just bought my srt6 a few months ago and bought it sight unseen and without even a test ride. I read and did a lot of research here on this great forum to help me decide. Everything turned out well since I bought it from a reputable dealer and had it delivered. I've been into cars my whole life and was concerned about the ride. I knew I could change it if I had to but to my surprise it really isn't as bad as some of the cars I've had in the past. And some of the threads in this form make it sound like your riding in a buckboard. Not too say its a cadillac ride or anything but its far from being that bad. It has sport suspension and I love it. I've owned over 100 cars and this one is the most fun to drive and the quickest in the 4.8 second dash. When they came out I loved the look but figured I'd never sink that much in a car and just forgot about it. Now the prices are great and with a new car warrenty they cant be beat. I have owned a lot of classics and antiques and I believe that the srt-6 will go down as great classic in years to come. Especially since they quit producing them. So for those of you that have experienced the rides in some of the cars in the past (ie 50's corvette's and such) dont hesitate to go for the SRT-6,you wont be sorry, I sure wasn't.
Well, everyone is entitled to their own take on things. I've owned ALOT of cars too. I Love the SRT-6, but the ride is TERRIBLE! I traded in a 2005 Neon SRT-4 with full competition ready suspension that had been setup for racing. I changed everything from the sway bars, Bushings, Adjustable Coilovers, 8 way adjustable shocks for thrust and rebound, and it rode better than the Xfire. Of course Virginia roads SUCK, so that doesn't help. I can't drive the car for more than 2 hours without stopping for a break to rest my Butt and sore back...

I actually prefer the ride of my SRT over that of the limited coupe we traded.
I guess I like the stiffer suspensions...but it feels like I'm hooked to the road much better.
I too was concerned with the harshness. I didn't even think about it driving it home 300 miles.

Drove my Ltd Roadster 450 mi to Florida to trade for my SRT6 Roadster & the SRT6 back 450 mi, all in the same day (Spent 20 minutes at the Dealer) July 14th. 900 Miles all in the Same day, the second 450 mi being the SRT6. The SRT6 Ride was Firmer on I-75, but not a lot. It seemed almost the same, 8 hours down in the Limited & 8 hours back up in the SRT6.Both cars rode like a Dream!(IMHO) Although 16 hrs+ driving time straight thru, is a little much, especially at my age.

in the Hampton Roads area of Va. Born in Norfolk and raised in Va. Beach.
Anyway, I took my Crossfire up to visit the family a while back, and the
drive on I-64 'bout beat me to death. Concrete expansion joints every
25 feet (or so it seemed). Sounded like a clackity train going down the
tracks, and each hit lifted my butt off the seat. Thank God I live in Atlanta!
The roads aint the best (can't seem to make a curve with a constant arc,
nor a road that stays horizontal), but they beat the hell out of the highways
in Va.

Well, between the Horse Trails they call highways and my bad back, it feels bad for me. I can live with it, and it's the nature of the beast and to be expected I guess. It does ride nice on the rare stretch of smooth roads to be found here...

At least we don't have all the expansion joints like they do in CA.
I bent my front rim and blew both left tires bc of the roads in Houston. Driving too fast, at night, in a new car...
Its all good though, I got a set of TSW Mondellos (hyper black) out of it.

Xtacy,
Could you please list some of the other cars you've had that rode harder than the 6? I've never had a full blown sports car before(nor my friends) so I don't have anything to compare the ride to sports car wise.
