Default Well, It's Time To Start Looking!

My dad said to me the other day that I need to start looking on the internet for the car that I want. And yes, he is fully aware that it is a black Crossfire SRT-6. So, the reason I was posting was to ask: Where is the best place to look? I usually look on eBay Motors, but I know that there are more options out there. We would REALLY like to find one for $20 grand or less, amount of miles is not an issue. If anyone has any advice, or knows of a black one for sale, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know! Thanks for all your help in advance!

Ebay, cars.com and autotrader. I pefer Ebay by a long shot, becuase the sellers are much more honest about condition since they worry about their Ebay reputation. I don't like to buy sight unseen and usually look for ebay cars in my area that I can go see. A good trick I use is if I like the car, I will ask to use the dealers computer so that I can hit the "buy it now" . Once you have done this the dealer is stuck making good on all promises until you leave feedback. I had one dealer try to get me to leave positive feedback before taking care of a few items. He was mad when he realiazed I wouldn't do so until everything that was agreed was completed. The other two sites have cars that are dissappointments much of the time. Keep in mind that most scratches won't show up in pictures.

Congratulations on getting or almost getting your licence. I'm a "few" years older than you and have a SRT6. The reason I bring this up is I know how tempting it is to drive it as it was intended to be driven and I'm suppose to be responsible.

Just be careful and enjoy the car. I found mine on ebay, called the dealer direct and made the deal. Also check the car for sale section of the forum cause I think Todk had one or maybe two left at reduced prices.

I've checked out all of these sites, and I haven't really seemed to have any luck. Do you all think I will be able to find a black SRT coupe in this price range before the end of July?

You'll be hard pressed. Ive mostly seen blue ones at 19.9 with 23k miles in my area. Im looking into local auctions as another potential option. You'll just want to get on the road and check all the big and little shops and keep hitting classifieds (paper and 'net) for your area. Unless in a big city, youll prolly want to truck one home to your doorstop, but Id always inspect the car first. Pictures dont tell you anything.

I would be concerned about how many miles is on it. I'd try to get a low mileage SRT-6 even if it cost a grand or two more.
