Default Great Buy, Good Buy, Ok Buy???

I just bought my brand new SRT-6 a week ago for $26,000 with the full three year warranty. It only had 150 miles on it and had never been resold to Chrysler. Although it is three years old, gettin twenty thousand off the sticker price of any car, let alone a SRT-6, made me feel like I finally was able to get one over on a dealer. What do you guys think?

Brand Spakin' New with full warranty - I think you got a really good deal - the difference between the new price and getting a good price on used SRT pays for the full that full warranty.

Tell us more...

Smoking deal. Be sure to call Chrysler and register as the owner. When I got mine it wouldn't come up on their site, so I called in. They said it had never been titled and didn't have any owner on file, so had me register as the first owner. Way cool on a car 3 years old, huh.

You have in your possession one of the sickest cars ever made. That's what I think.

Thanks for the input everybody and thanks a lot for the welcome. I love the car so far and from what I read its only going to get better. Also, I've been cruising the forum and found a lot of useful infromation about mods that got me really interested. I'm thinking about removing my resonator, buying the needswing intake, and buying the sprint booster. Those seem like the most reasonably priced and effective mods that i can find. If you guys have any other pointers or words of advice for a new owner I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Hah yeah 89 does signifiy my birth year. Good detective work. And yeah i didn't think they had any new ones left either until I just happened to see it in the dealer one day while I was driving by. I know of one other SRT6 in NJ so far and it lives down the street from me how many others are there? And do you live anywhere near central Jersey (if you believe in a thing called central Jersey) Sidez???

I think you nailed it! I just traded my 2005 Xfire LTD last week with 22,000k on it and warranty about to expire. I saw it in the dealership's showroom for $24,900 !!!
So you got an new SRT for $26,000 with 3 year warranty!
I do not know much about much, but, that seems to be a great deal to me.

Congrats and enjoy the rocket!!!!!

belive it or not there is also an srt-6 down my street as well.. and same color as mine.. other than that srt I have only seen one other on the road... no I don't really live near central jersey.. I live right across the GW bridge, in Bergen County.. but either way we should hook up sometime for a crossfire meet!!!

I'll be honest. Your deal is OK, but not great. unless never been titled means that much to you. There are too many out there with 5K miles or less, mint for about $20K or less. If it's a roadster, I think you did good.

But the important thing is that you're happy with your car and the deal.

Good luck, congrats, and welcome to the forum.

FP, I would say Close, but No Cigar.

Raise that $20K to $23K or less & Increase that Mileage from 5K to 10K or less.(IMHO)

Just a little tweaking, as I have been Living with those #'s for the past 9 months & just sold my SRT6 Coupe on Friday.

Still look at the prices Nationwide on SRT6s every few days. SF

PS (I'll buy another SRT6 Coupe or Steal another SRT6 Roadster, in the Next year or so, before they are All Worn Out! )
