Default mrphotoman drag vids

Drove 3.5 hours up and drove straight onto the track so the car was really heat soaked. I then let it sit for about 25 minutes but it was so hot out the engine was still too hot to touch. I forgot to turn off the damn traction control on the 2nd run lol. I wish I could have ran more but it started to rain, I launched at idle then at 1,000 rpms so I know the car had a lot more in it. I was hoping for a lot better times (and more time to try different launches) but unfortunately the ran hit. I will be back soon though. This was the first time to the track with my new car (I have been to the track many many times before over the past 5 years in my other car however).

Unless those are slicks your running, suggest driving around the water box. It will only slow you down.

don't worry i have been to the track plenty of times. if that was an option it would have been done. I know how street tires, drag radials and slicks work just fine.

Great videos! I love it when you can actually read the times. I look forward to seeing what kind of difference the intake makes!

I was a little dissapointed but the weather was hot, the car was really hot and I only ran 2 times. I am sure if I would have let it cool down then launched harder it would have got me close to a 12. I thought I had plenty of time to experiment today but that rain showed up within 5 minutes, it was crazy.

The second one was a roush mustang.

14.29@99.51
and
14.54@97.59

The track is Pittsburgh Raceway Park, temps were 84 degrees and elevation is 1,250 feet.

I will scan/post up the timeslips tonight and I will keep adding to this thread as I mod the car.

I'm sure you really surprised them...whenever I go to the track people are stunned the first time they see my car go down the track. Did anyone ask you any questions?

Well I was there with a large group so I knew most of them and I had already posted some info on my car on the other sites. I did have a guy with a modded wrx keep asking me what times I ran, where I got my badges etc. He seemed really nice.

I would say there were around 35 or 40% mustangs out of the crowd there that day, lol.

Best time was 8.21 @ 86.45 mph, pretty good for just an intake and tune! Listen to that d@mn announcer, lol.

Bike Cop (son) if my Cobra run that slow i would take out to the back field, dig a hole, shoot it and bury it. It looked like the black mustang in the 2nd vid. didn't know how to stage.
