Default New Top Gear Crossfire Review!

I thought I had all of the Video reviews of this car..but a new one just surfaced on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xobH6m6SI8

Clarkson as usuall is rather amusing: the comment re: the back end styling of the Crossfire is..ahh... classic Clarkson! Althoug I certainly don't agree with it!<G>

Angry Re: New Top Gear Crossfire Review!

Sorry! Forgot this in my post: The same MORON Jeremy Clarkson who did the review totally and every aspect/respect condemmimg and making absolute fun of just about _everything_ about the Crossfire..totally contradicts himeself a few years earlier where he practically gushes over certain aspects of the car! TOTAL F***ing idiot and is the reason..except for purposese of amusement..will _never_ watch that ridiculous show (IMHO)!
I still (after many AMG's) own an E55AMG..and I love this Crossfire!!!

Hmmmmm.......ah, you're a wee bit confused here.

First off, both of these reviews were done in the fist year of the Crossfire but they are NOT by the same guy!!! Your first post links to a review by Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear, this review famous for him stating the styling reminds him of a dog making poo.

The second review is from the same year, but it's Tiff Needell of Fifth Gear (different person, different show, different British TV channel even) and, yes, he liked the car more than Clarkson liked it.

The review you've apparently missed is from a year or two later when the three guys from Top Gear (Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May) took a Crossfire Roadster, Audi TT Roadster and Nissan 350Z Roadster to Iceland and compared them head to head. They each drew different final conclusions, and Clarkson admitted to not liking the Crossfire Coupe when he review it previously (that's referencing the clip in your first link) but he ultimately chose the Crossfire Roadster over the Audi and Nissan. So he's not a total Crossfire hater.

Honestly though, I don't really care what he likes or dislikes - Top Gear is just entertaining as hell to watch and I can't wait for new episodes to start airing again next week!!!

That's not even Jeremy Clarkson. That's Tiff Needell. He used to work for Top Gear, but moved on to Fifth Gear.

*EDIT* I got NINJA'd by Mike-in-Orange!!! Good call. Top Gear is one of the greatest shows EVER!

To "ninja" someone, is when you post what someone else was saying as they type it. Just beat me to the "submit reply" button.

Thumbs up Re: New Top Gear Crossfire Review!

I happen to love the show Top Gear. Sure the jeremy guy ripped the xf coupe, but he also ripped a 800 hp ,150k mercedes brabus tuned ride, saying he hated it, it drove like crap with the traction control ruining the potential of a great car. I liked their comparison between the audi tt and the z to the xf. I think the guy is hilarious, just be aware he is used to driving super cars and the such, so dont take his comments personally. Id like to see him do a test on the srt roadster.

You can download all episodes from all Series of Top Gear and Fifth Gear via www.finalgear.com. Excellent quality and they are full versions of the show - not poor quality little clips on YouTube or the chopped and edited versions on BBC America - apparenty they don't think we Yanks will understand everything or some such nonsense. Oh, and neither Top Gear nor Fifth Gear ever tested the SRT6. I've downloaded and watched every episode of both.

US version with Carolla, Foust and some DIY carpenter dude will be on NBC this fall. The original Top Gear is a BBC production airing in the UK but broadcast in a somewhat chopped up version on BBC America. Best bet is to get yourself a bit torrent application and download the originals from finalgear.com. Quality is excellent - about 100000000000% better than the YouTube crap - and you get the whole show.

I download them and play them back via my flat screen TV - I just hook my laptop to the computer inputs on the back of the set - brilliant!!

Top Gear America is going to SUCK!

Jay Leno turned it down because corporate sponsors don't want you talking bad about their cars.

Thanks foe the tip. I already frequent with Bit Torrent, so I'll start viewing tonight. I can't believe it's going to be on NBC.

wow super slow downloads from that site. the cool thing is. it brings you to mininova which is what i use for all my downloading. and it really pisses me off that he hates the crossfire so much. he didnt rip on the 350z as much! i did agree with alot of what he says for the 350 though. and i really like those cars. my key thing is to keep my srt faster than it though

Thanks for setting me straight! Your right of course! I apologise for the mixup! The review still pissed me off though! I spent an hour last night watching both shows and guys (Streetfire.Net; Youtube, etc.) and I sometimes think they do oof the mark reviews like that just to keep the show interesting! Great showa though! I started to enjoy some of the reviews. My fav..one of the guys review of the McClaren and the Koenigsegg! Just went nuts! Once agin..thanks for the corrections!!!
Cheers!
