How Well's The Code 3 Pulley Work?
I am just wonderin, a month or so ago all the talk was the "NEW Code-3 S/C PULLEY"
Will it work? Will it slip? Will it chew up belts? Will it compare to the 178mm,181mm, 185mm? I am wondering how it has turned out for it's customers? CUSTOMERS, Let us know... Please, suppliers or retailers need not comment. We know you think it's great. |

They updated the Code3 site and it says that it will perform the same as a 178 pulley. I washoping for more so I think if I go the pulley route I'll get a 185.

I'd still like to see another dyno on the Code 3 pulley. The dyno graph posted in the Code 3 pulley thread just doesn't make sense to me.

so far mine has ran flawlessly. i will try to get on a dyno soon, my car ran a 8.2 @ 86.55mph with just an intake so I would hope for a nice improvement with the pulley now.
i should be able to get on the dyno in the next 2 weeks i hope. |

I agree with Coyote. I'm a definite skeptic of the Code3 pulley, but I just bought one. I spoke with Brandon on the phone, and he was very helpful. He answered all my questions, and even expididted my order, so that I can install my pulley in time for the Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals. I'm also thankful that Brandon had C32 dyno graphs on his site. Based on the dyno graph in this thread, I would never have bought one. Then compare prices between the Code3 and the 178mm pulleys, and it's a no brainer. Of course, if you want even more power, you can add a 178mm pulley. But I like the idea that it's practically undetectable by the warranty folks, and it performs equivalent to a 178mm crank pulley without over revving the other components. It just makes sense.
Give me a couple of weeks, and I'll post a full review. |

I now have over 1,000 miles on mine and the belt still looks brand new. zero issues.

pulleys (not counting idler/tensioner pulleys), so if you get 3 with the kit, 3 components are being over driven. Whether that be the power steering, alternator, water pump or what doesn't matter, there are other components being over driven. I think that is why the Evosport kit provides more pulleys than one gets with the LET or even Renntech kits. Coyote |

I doubt anything is being overstessed with ANY of the pulleys. We have forged AMG motors that are more than capable of taking a beating. Look at all the 03/04 Terminator Cobra guys that bolt on Kenny Bells and whatnot. Many of these guys are running 500-600 RWHP with NO issues. a lot of punishment... but don't forget the IC pump ;). I would suspect, that as with most mechanical devices that the service life will be less the harder the component is pushed. So, maybe these items last 100k instead of 150k miles, or maybe they will fail sooner. But I'm fairly sure that they will not last as long as they would were they running a the designed rpm. BTW, real happy to see you were able to keep your SRT. Thought we were going to lose a very valuable member when you dropped out for a while. Looking forward to reading more of your exploits in modding and running down the competition. Coyote |

I just installed my new Code-3 Pulley 2 days ago along with a LET ECU tune and it feels great! The seat of the pants improvement is well worth it. I just need to go back to the track and see how much better it will do now.
