Great job, I bet you are proud of that run! Very impressive!

I'm still smiling, and to boot I think the 1.746 is the best 60' on all motor. The second slip has the highest MPH with all motor. I not positive because someone like me could be out there who doesn't post on dragtimes.

All the credit goes to Rob at Needswings. I just copied his setup. I learned along time ago I don't waste my money reinventing the wheel.

is that VP fuel oxyginated? That could have helped you some. I'd like to get ahold of some of that 100 streetblaze, it's supposed to give 10-15% power increase due to the oxygen enrichment. If that is what you had then I can see it definetly works.

That's a great question. I don't have the answer for you right now. I'll email my fuel guy and find out. He is very straight up and never pushed 100 octane, said I wouldn't benefit from it. I only use it because it cools my car alot faster between runs. It's takes about 10-15 mins to cool completely vs 30 min plus before using this fuel. Do you have the 100 oct tune?

He was a Torco fuel dealer, but Torco went belly up, so I'm assuming it's VP. That's what I used in Fallon. So now 2 gallons for each race adds a bit more to the cost for each time out. I'll update you when I find out. It can either be the streetblaze or Torco's Mach 100 UNL.

no I have Robs old tune, when he had the prototype manifolds. I'm gonna call inmotion tomorrow and see about getting this new tune. I have always ran 93 pump. I am gonna try and see if I can get my hands on some of that VP 100 streetblaze before I go to the track. If that's what you had in your car then it will be worth it, plus at 6.50 a gallon I could run it every weekend I go out to race, for a little extra kick.

I don't have the 100 oct tune either, just wanted to clear that up.

My fuel guy is still a Torco dealer and I'm using Torco Mach 100 UNL. He did say that Torco 100 has a higher motor octane than the street blaze.

well I called VP and found a local distributor. He is gonna order some VP109 for me but it will take 3 weeks. It's gonna be $70 for 5gallons or $160 for 15gallons. I'm gonna have to push my track date back till November so I can experiment with it.

Yea the closest you have for Torco is Oklahoma. I emailed him to see what his thoughts on the VP109, and how safe it is for our cars. I would say since the motor octane is close, it should be good. That's insane they are charging you $14 a gallon. I hit the track and pull up to the little gas station and buy 1 or 2 gallons at a time to keep my weight down at $6.50 a gallon. Ok I'm officially buying him dinner everytime I head to the track.

I don't see why it wouldn't be safe. It's rated at 105 and unleaded. I will be sure to have my wideband hooked up to monitor AF ratio. With robs manifolds, cutouts, colder weather and some of this stuff it should be interesting.

He did tell me you will be fine, but your getting bent over pretty good for it. I wouldn't use your cutouts out of the gate. Try a few passes with them closed, some backpressure is needed. Get a baseline first then open them up and see what you can do.

that is some EXPENSIVE fuel lol.

as for your tune, i may email inmotion to ask him how much different that tune is than the one I have. what was the temperature the day you ran? are you going back in the next few weeks to see if you can beat that time?

It was 67 degrees and my DA was between 3200-3300 back and forth all day. I'll be out this friday night, hopefully it will be just as cool. It snowed in Idaho and Utah and that's why we had really cool weather that day. I usually don't see that kind of temps during the day until december, january. I still want to beat distant's 60' he's still champ on all motor. Yea I will be stoked if I hit the 11's without the mani's yet. I'm sure once I get those on I will be there pretty often. At least for the winter.

I talked to inmotion today. They said to keep what I have and monitor the AF ratio. If I start leaning out then send my ecu back. Now if you have jsut there standard pulley tune and plan to get robs manifolds then you will probally need the new tune.

Forgot to mention that my SC whine is not as prounounce as before. The car actually has a meaner sounding exhaust now. Is that possible. I'm hopefully going to get someone to video for me on Friday night.

Man glad you noticed it too because I thought was going nuts. It does sound different and the tune is the only thing I did. I'm with you I feel I know my car very well and it was different. Almost like the car is not working as hard. My passes felt so smooth.
