I need a part number...
After putting on my newly modified intake plenums I found that the rubber gasket between the throttle body and the SC is coming apart. This is made of two mounting plates with a rubber gasket moulded to them. It acts like a shock or torque absorber. The dang thing started splitting apart at one of the surfaces where the rubber meets the plate. DO NOT PULL ON THE SPLITTER OF YOUR AIR INTAKE AT THE THROTTLE BODY WITHOUT MAKING SURE THE CATCHES ARE FREE. Once this baby gets a crack started it will pull apart with very little effort.
I need the part number for this little bugger. There is no part number anywhere on it. This is the same part that MUTT had to replace on his. (yes, I did PM him). Thanks for any help.

Here is the part number the Local MB dealer gave me 112.140.05.12 - perhaps you can take the exploded parts diagram listed here to a local dealer (it was a printout from the local MB dealer)

I found this parts dealer online in Eugene OR. http://mercedesbenzgenuinep.reachlocal.net/
punched in the part number (no periods) and it pops up for $99.00
Hope this helps..

Thanks Brian. I just printed it out and will go to the MB shop tomorrow. It sure would be nice if they had it in stock!
But I will probably have to wait for them to order it. Depending on the price I may get TWO! Moulding rubber to flat metal with no feed holes is not the best idea. It is what it is though. Thanks again.

I just got back from the MB dealer. The part number that BrianBrave gave(1121400212) is the correct one for this part. It is listed as a 'pipe line' and not a gasket. The dealer wants $129 and the nearest one is in Florida, but he dosent think they will send it to him. Next location is Germany.
I ordered online for $115 delivered. Now I have to wait. Guess I wont be at the track this week end.

Just to followup with you guys. I did get the new parts today. This part number is correct!
Air Fuel sensor gasket
MB# A1121412480
Chrysler# 05159305AA
Cost: $6.85
These were made in France 10/4/04. This is the gasket(officially 'air fuel sensor gasket' according to Chrysler) that goes between the throttle body and the SC. I don't know what MB car it goes on but it's not the C32 or SLK32 apparently.
Now I can put the SSB back together and have a spare, just in case.

edit: NOTE that the new gasket has a PART NUMBER on it.

Bringing back the dead.....
I have the P0505 CEL and assumed it was the Intake gaskets again. I just pulled the plenums off and they looked good for a change but I put the copper sprayed OEMs back on for now. Anyway, as I pulled my CAI off I noticed the gasket/spacer was splitting. I am not sure how long it has been like that but I have put one on order. Called Merc dealer first and for $31 they will have one on Friday. Called the Chrysler dealer just for giggles and they can have one on Friday for $8. Both are on order, cause with my luck one will be the wrong part. Cheers

I recently had the same issue, Purchased three from my dealer at $10 each using the part numbers listed above. I noticed that the SL55 on my car stresses the Air Fuel Sensor Gasket more then the stock intake and wondered if this wasn't the cuase of the failure.
I have the NW dual and just replaced my gasket again a few weeks ago....
I think I need the Woody mod to tie the Dual CAI tubes to the engine...similar to the stock intakes... I did remove the clamps on the front end of the tubes where they go into the rubber feed throughs at the radiator... that should let the tubes give on the front end.
I think the torque of the engine and the intakes being 'free floating' may be allowing too much torque on the gasket and it splits over time....
