Talking Got to the top, just coasting, and watching paint dry

Mother nature has been Berry Berry Gut to me this weekend, thanks Ma for the 70's.

Ok I tried to paint the hood, found my low pressure gun has had a fatal crack in the nozzle so the top gets sanded down and redone, used the good old primer gun, backup.

The material flowed out ok in a good gun and the bottom is done, waiting for the finish to cure, looks a bit like a semi mat which is spot on for my needs. Here the shots, go thru the gallery to see all of them that you wanna. Next week if Ma allows, Ill reshoot the top after I get another HVLP gun and mount it all back on the C to Drive it again, Ta Da - almost done.

BACK TO THE FUTURE?????????

HOODIES:

For the students in the back of the class, No I did not label the Green box, I bought that for 50 cents at a ham fest with a mess of gauges and meters.......Dont wanna let any ugly rumors getting out about me, thanks !

It's too late for the biohazard suite, Woody.
You contracted the XF virus long ago.

Hey Woody, I must have missed a couple of classes, because I'm not "getting" it.

Is this a purely aesthetic mod? Or is it functional?

If functional, what are you shooting for here? Is this to allow more air to flow through the grill and pass over the radiator and heat exchanger?

woody, you rule.

seriously, you rule.

this looks like it will be very tastefully done, as well as very functional.

Nevermind! I just saw the other thread about your hood mod and see it is functional.

Nice work Woody!

I have to say, I haven't been terribly fond of the hood mods I've seen thus far - no offense, just not my cup o' tea - but this one is just incredible! I would love to have a hood like this and can't wait to see the final result. Well done, sir.

Thanks guyz, its fully functional and thermal data logging will follow when its driven in warm weather.

To date to assist the thermal managment:
Removed hood blanket
Designed a 182 'almost drop' in stat
Developed the Super Cooler for the H/E
which separated the cooling circuits
Added a exhaust heat shield for the intake
Upgraded the I/C pump
Added cooling negative scoops to the hood to vent heat
And which is a non-reflective Black Body radiator for that early AM of late afternoon drive; I live west of Work - facing the sun

As far as the carbon fiber guy goes, Ill get back to him and see if he still has sufficient interest in the project.

Monday comes early tomorrow!! W DY
