Default Darn

I have had my Crossfire Srt 6 Roadster now for over 2 months and must admit I love it. Simple car, nothing special (luxury) on it and quite powerfull. I originally wanted to tune it as much as possible but ... changed my mind. Since I will only drive it a few months a year it might be even better to keep it completely stock (with exception of the grill, ps if anyone has the horizontal or even a CDT like grill for sale, please pm me) since in a few years I believe this will be collector cars.
Now on the 'Darn' header I just found out that I will be out of the country for many months starting end June. This then means (taking the not so sunny and cold winters in PA into consideration) that I will only be able to get the car out on the road next spring or so (2010). Having said this I believe an immaculate SRT 6 convertible with only 2200 miles on it (now) will always raise eyebrows and lots of thumbs up from any other driver on the road.
Cheers to all and ...... I believe this forum is truly great.
John

Hey John,

Sorry to hear about you having to be out of the country. Tell you what; you could leave it with me and I would be willing to make sure it got a regular drive around. You know just to keep things up and running regularly . You know the worst thing for a car is for it to sit; I'd hate to see that.

I'm always down for helping another member out ! Anyway good luck with the travel I have to do the same from time to time for my job but luckily have not had to go for months at a time - yet

Stay safe...

Respectfully,

Paul (MisterTaz)

As generous as my friend Mr. Taz's offer is, your SRT will only be able to get 3 months of "care" as he lives in Wisconsin.

I, however, can offer a complete year-round care center for your vehicle while you are away! I reside in Alabama!

PM me?

Ha ....

Your suggestion sound truly appealing to me, especially If I can come to AZ end november and stay there a few months while you watch PSU football here in PA (you can even stay in my place). Needless to say that my XF will love the AZ Winter .......

For as far as the WI and AL suggestions ..... lemme think about that a lil longer ....

Regarding grill ... if there is anyone who could custom build me one (upper and bottom) like the 'special XF' or CDT, let me know (see below pic)

Cheers John

I guess in a couple of weeks I'll get to see how long it takes for crossfire withdrawal symptoms to set in! I might possibly show up at your door in the middle of the night with a pile of money, shaking, cold sweat, dis-oriented...

welll ... (since I won't be there) my wife (blonde 18 year old playmate) will be wondering why a dis oriented stranger knocks on the door in the middle of the night handing her a bag with money (ps how big of a bag ...). Irrespective she one day might tell me the true story here ... cheers and safe travel bud.

Dutch SC,

Where did you get that pic?!? I must have had my head stuck in the sand, b/c I missed that one. That is SWEET!

Any info or additional pics from different angles would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks,
KrzyFast

I know the wing overlaps somwhat ..., but I love the deep set look of this grill. I also would jump on one of these "like a crow on a June bug"

...oops

The NW intake filters wouldn't fit. I'd rather not give up THAT little upgrade. Too bad, it looks so cool.

I was looking for a similar grille when I was shopping for mine, and I never had any luck finding someone to make one, so I gave up and ordered a custom grille from user SRT SIX (Karl) and I have been majorly impressed.

At first there was a little tweaking (very minor fitments) and the grille looks amazing (I went with powdercoated black). The quality is there, it is quite abit heavier than I anticipated it being. After holding a few other aftermarket grilles that should have been constructed this way, I realized this is probably the best looking grille I will find, and at a good price.

Just my .02
