Anyone Have This Problem? I Started The Car Up After Leaving Work, And The Radio Works Fine, But Cd's Make Just Weird Hissing Noise And Won't Play A Single Note!!!

my cd player did the same thing...i have the nav package with my radio.

1 week later i turned the radio on and the CD player was working again.

it fixed itself!

 

my CD player just did on Sunday. Grabs the disc, played 1/2 of track 1, stops, eject, put back in just says stop across the front, will turn on, just not play. Had that happen once before where it wouldn't read the disc, but then the next disc played fine.

 

Yup, twice on the SRT.
Had the head unit replaced the same amount of times under warranty. No problemo since then.
It would do all kinds of weird crap: the same stuff as Mdaniels states above or you'd stuff the CD in & the player wouldn't acknowledge it or the sound would suck or, or..........it was something new everyday.

 

Mine liked to just sit there and click at me............ that's why I replaced it!

 

not to get sidetracked, but lately, i keep having to fix stupid little things on my SRT. it's starting to irritate me. it's great that once the problem is fixed, it will likely not come back, but it is VERY annoying! door seals, window leak, hatch leak, seat-heater, cup holder, CD player, etc.

i am working on a new project for my SRT, but i'm starting to have my doubts as to whether or not it will be worth it, or if i should hurry up and buy my daily driver and store the SRT for limited use.... thoughts?

exact same thing with min. played extremely loud static when i played CD. Had a hell of a time getting dealer to fix it because it only happened like twice a week. So they kept saying "no problem found" and wouldn't fix it. until one day i had to stop on my way to work to show the manager the blaring static then they fixed it... and broke my cupholder in the process... which they refused to fix

 

Same with mine. Except mine finally ate a cd and would not give it back. Had it replaced under warranty and they got it out later.
