Default Limited Rear in a SRT-6?

Has anyone done this and was the result positive? I have a limited rear that I am considering installing a Phantom Grip and making the change and was interested if this has been done in the past. I know that the gear ratio is only a minor change but figure that it would improve my 1/4 mile times. Thanks

the PG ,woody and I have the Phantom Grip with no problems ,,, mine is no longer in the car,, as for the limited rear, that will help in the 1/4 and backing it up with the PG is a great idea, or should I say don;t do it,, as the ecu will not work with the limited rear then you can sell it to me, ( i have heard the ecu thinks the tires are spinning too fast and start appling the brakes for you ,,you may have to always turn off your traction control,, again this is a pain in the a** so sell it to me. jim

I know RIOT has a PG on his car as well and has definitely taken it to the track. So my advice would be:

amx1397 and RIOT for drag opinions on the PG

and

waldig for road course opinions on the PG.

...then again RIOT mainly just lurks from time to time these days...

I'm looking at installing PG on mine in the spring for the next drag season.

Is the rear on the limited the same as an 6 or is the 6 beefed up more? Meaning, did they use the same parts, just different gearing on the limited?

If the ECU is going to cause a problem why would you want the rear? I

The housing and internals are the same, just a different ring and pinion set.

because of the gears,,, srt6= 307,,,limited = 327,, that is good for about ..oo4 in the 1/4 mile,, on the other hand your mpg gas goes down below 20mpg highway,,, I keep my TC turned off and my ecu is tunes to accept the different rear gears. I have been thinking of ordering just the gears (350 or 371) ,cost new 500. used 200. and i would have a change out rear rather than changing the gears if i had yours. I will pm you my phone # and we can decuss this, jim.
