Talking OH Crap, a new threat to the crossfire...

I installed the Horn mod and resoldered the top AND bOTTOM of the relay board to fix the annular solder joint cracking issues. Great.

With a 3 watt flashlight in my mouth, I attempted to install the module and only found 3 of the 4 plugs. In my search for the missing connector I found a big softball sized puff of pink fiberglas. Cra p on that now there is a mouse trying to avoid the sub 30 degrees weather in my garage bay #3. Poop, he did this is only a week, er should that be a she??

Need to go to Walmart and purchase more mouse bait and restock each of the bays. Usually dont get them this time of the year.

The fix worked and I had a very satisfied smile on my mug when the horn worked. Me not horney now, thanks Tighed1 for the assist. It only made sense and since I got the car on 9/11/07 I mildly wished I had a dam n hORN.

Beep Beep urass. Now I can use the horn in a parking lot if some ding bat tries to do something stupid near me.

WOODY, Three days off YIPPIE. C ya next year.

The sticky pad rat traps work great. Alternative to the very effective spring trap.Poison a rat, mouse and they seen to always die in your walls. Oh That Smell. Squirrel Crusher

woody,
I had mices try to build a BIG nest of insulation right on top of my SC on the Aero and then under the brake master cylinder. I caught 4 little buggers in traps and havent had anymore in the garage since. I have been finding maple seed pods on top of the SC on the SSB in the driveway if I let it sit more than 2 or 3 days.

I hate mices to pieces!!

Iam going thru hel l on a 30 KW generator that I installed for a good customer and was killed by squirrels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.8 hours on the clock and they dropped hickory nuts into the fan. When the first real outage occured the fan shot the shells into the radiator and stopped a 23,000$ alternator in its tracks. Yeah tell me about rodents. I love my cats.

Your cats are too cozy, it looks like you have to put them out in the garage to earn their keep.
If you put out traps, sticky pads or bait, keep the cats away, cats like cheese as well. Rats like cheese and peanut butter, bait the trap for a few days and then set the spring, thats one surprise they never get to remember.

Get sticky traps and surround the car with 2 or more feet on every side of them. That way you are surely going to catch any critter going to the car.

-Woody, forgive me for going off topic, but when I took the heat shield off my hood last night, there was very little paint under it. Do manufacturers not paint the underside knowing that it will be covered up, or (and this doesn't seem right to me) is the heat from the engine causing it to fade? And if this is the case, should I worry about the paint on top.
- I am considering modifying the hood somewhat similar to yours.

Off topic:
They applied a thin layer of paint for rust only.

Hood, well I can give you lots of watch out for's.

I need to get the thermocouples on the hood during the winter to show the heat streaming out of the negative hood scoops and document that for the crowd.

The cats are so laid back that the thought of a mouse would be a shock to them, I have created heated cat beds so they have it EASY when the setback stat kicks in. Spoiled and loving them for the easy companionship, lack of tension.

I have heard it said that when you make a cat purrr, that you are both happy. I believe it. Got my first when I was in recovery from open heart surgery and the 'visit to the other side'.

llllllllllllllllllHappy New year dudes adn dudettes.

Woody

Sticky boards with a dab of peanut butter work GREAT. Place them tight alongside the walls since mice like to run along walls, being scared of open spaces. When I stored my 2005s in a u-store garage last winter, I also dumped a couple pounds of moth ***** on the floor under them. Not sure it helped, but no sign of mice in the spring or in the cars.
