hey guys i just purchased o2 simulators and installed them on my car. i drove around and these two error codes popped up p0140, p0160. can anybody help me out. thanks

 

Maybe, the PCM is not detecting those two o2 sims and throwing bank codes. OEM o2 sensors are used to help determine a/f, so if the PCM is not reading anything codes should be thrown.

Why in the world are you adding sims????????? What is the reason for doing that and all the expense????

My guess is he deleted the primary cats for better flow.

Too bad exhaust mods yield minimal gains on these cars.

 

Did you replace both the front and rear O2 sensors with sims?

If so you need re-install the front O2 sensors.

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I don't think anyone is running an O2 Sim with this car and not getting a CEL. Here is my reasoning; the O2 Sensors are tested two different ways, when you first start the car, it tests the impedance on the signal and heater circuits and then after you turn the car off, it tests the current draw of the O2 heater circuit. It also looks for the O2 sensors to have bounce around about half as much as the pre-cat O2 sensors. If it doesn't see this, it will throw a CEL as well. I'd like someone to prove me wrong but I just don't think anyone has designed something this sophisticated.
