Default No remorse.

Bought a black Srt6 roadster in mint condition last week . No buyer remorse. All options with 10K mileage. I remember when I could have bought a 426 Cobra in 1968 for $6000... I bought my Tiger in 1985 for $4000 and now my Srt6 in 2010 for $26000 Gary

50% of sticker when new.

Under 1000 SRT6 roadsters made.

Good job, you got a nice one.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.... you will enjoy it I am sure...

regardless of price paid (we each have our own idea of what is acceptable/good)...getting a clean SRT6 is a coup (pronounced coo, for you heathens).... it is a small group

Way to go Gary....Welcome to the permagrin club.... I bought my SRT black roadster in January in Florida for 21.5K with 17K mileage with a couple of issues. Needed back window repair (not bad), rear Michelin rears needing replacement soon, and a small (almost un-noticeable) hit in rear bumper left side. All this taken care of since. Otherwise car was, and is, perfect. Car came with Single Needswings CAI, 178 pulley and LET tune. (this added up to some $$$ that came with it.)
As far as the dollars spent goes ..... unless you're into heavy time racing and pushing the limits of the car, where you chance leaving parts on the road, you will be absolutely fine. The car is basically bullet-proof, and engineered to perform under realistic conditions. From my observations, it's the drivers (like RIOT, OleDoc and Jane Bridges, and others) that enjoy their cars by pushing the limits that add to their initial cost on the cars by highly modifying them. So basically their cars cost as much, or more than ours in the end, so they can enjoy their type of driving. (please... don't mean any disrespect) ....

Are you planning to come to Carlisle this coming weekend? I'd like to see your new baby. BLACK rules .... Congrats again .. Howard

Didn't looki at your # of posts or your gallery .... thought maybe you were a newbie. Come on ... teach us some things ..... LMAO

Thanks for the comments. It's time to come clean. I bought three Crossfires as investments. All three meet and exceed my needs in performance and handling. my money was paying 1.5%. Now I get to drive it and watch it grow. all mods reversible with no damage. I removed all the seam trim as noted earlier Gary

Welcome aboard, you found the best forum you will ever find regarding knowing what there is to know about a particular car.
A few years ago I paid top dollar for mine also. Traded my Blaze Red Limited and went into hock almost 29 Grand to have it. We may be alot alike when it comes to buying collectable cars but for some reason I have NEVER loved a car like this one. This one is staying with me "till death do us part".

Arado,
I just looked at your gallery and saw the X-75 Triumph.
I set up one of the few of those that were ever built at the Triumph and BSA shop I worked at when they came out. It was like NOTHING we had ever seen before! Do you still have it? Also I see your in Ohio which is where I bought my SRT, a place called Tom Ahl Chrysler. I would like to know who ended up buying my Limited from them...
Mike

Nope. I sold the X75 after I restored it. I did not like it. It went to Australia by air freight to a heavy collector. I replaced it with this....the red one I modified to my needs.

Nice car and welcome. I have to admit that at first I thought you were playing games with us with that trim. All that was missing were the curtains, leopard seat covers and curb feelers.

OUCH!!!! I paid less for a brand new base coupe back in 2005.

I am not judging you on the price you paid. The car is worth it... so it is a small price to pay for happiness. In the end you won't regret it. One heck of a car so congrats and good luck!

I am not sure how the price for an SRT and that paid for a base coupe can be comparable even in the wildest imagination.
Kinda like the Chevette and the Corvette

Welcome.

Not sure about the "investment" part as others can tell you it hasn't really happened yet. But you can't put a price on enjoyment. Good luck.

What part of SW Ohio are you in?

James

I'm not sure any of us will live long enough to consider these cars good financial investment. But it certainly is a good investment for permagrin.

Congrats and enjoy the ride!

So what are the three Crossfires you have? All SRT-6's? there is or was a SRT-6 in OH (on autotrader) for 25K (is this the one you bought?)

I have a black roadster that i absolutely love. The only thing better would be a black srt6 roadster. If I found one and could afford it I wouldn,t hesitate to pay 26000. The price might be a little steep, but the car is worth it all day long. Congrats on a great find, I "m jealous, and you should't have any remorse.
