Do you know what your car weighs?
I took my car to Predator Performance to have my car weighed. 3299 lbs. The car had 2/3 tank of gas, 14 lb. battery, no carpets, jack, pump or fix a flat and with me in the driver's seat. In other words at race weight except for all the extra gas. Without me in the drivers seat it came in at 3118 lbs. More or less what a Z06 weighs. I think I need more power.

Well, if I win the loto I'll be calling for a good dose of V-8 upgrade, but until then I'm stuck with a slow and heavy V-6. (If I win the loto I'll buy a second SRT and have it Rudyfied.)

I had my non SRT6 weighed, and without me in it, it was 3040 pounds with a quarter tank of fuel.
I always thought the SRT6 was about 150lbs heavier, so I would have guessed that you would have gotten about 3200lbs, not 3118.
Nice surprise.

Read carefully about the weight. No carpets, no jack etc in the back, 14 lb. battery. Washer fluid light is on but the car had 2/3 of a tank of gas according to the gauge. The car was at race weight except for the gas. For a whole track day I start with a full tank but for Solo 1 or autocross I run with 1/4 tank of gas and add some if needed during the day. The weight distribution is not bad. I thought it would be much worst. With me in the car it added 57 lbs to the drivers side front, 79 lbs. to the drivers side rear, 12 lbs to the passenger side front and 33 lbs to the passenger side rear. You can take the picture and figure the % front to rear, left to right etc. The scale is showing the cross weights. I hope someone finds the information useful or informative.

The car's weight seems fine. The driver, on the other hand, could stand to lose a few lbs according to that weight distribution. And since when was an SRT6 "slow"?

Don't get me wrong I would love to have a V8, V10 or even a Turbine, but I love what was built and badged as a Crossfire SRT-6, an increadable car in many peoples' eyes.
We, as forum members can't start comparing our cars, dyno slips, Et's or lap times to Tazz-8, sorry to Tazz but what he has is no longer a Crossfire SRT. He does however own a really neat little car. I only wish it had been a Coupe. 180 to 205 in a flexable convertable, not for me.
PLUS, he has screwed things up for me, I was already saving for a project car and now I have to concider that path
Wow that's light! I guess my cat's need to go. I'm keeping my SRT seats for now but I'll admit dreaming about super light ones every now and then.

Something just isn't right there.
First of all lets give you,
5 pounds per wheel and tire, X4= 20lbs
35 pounds per seat---------X2= 70lbs
20 pounds per cat----------X2= 40lbs
15 pounds for Tire tools & pump=15lbs
unless you've shaved an extra 170lbs with very, very, special lug bolts
I fail to understand how you could weigh over 300 pounds less than what most peoples' SRTs weigh.
Are you sure of your scales set up and accuracy?

Stock rims with 285 Invos, 3/4 tank, same as above plus me (277#)
weight was 3290#, so minus me was 3019#. i have not weighed the street tires vs track setup so i cannot calculate there. petrol is just over 6# a gallon (6.20-6.35 dependant on octane) so around 3 gallons fuel 18# puts it at 3001#. Depending on the tire/rim difference and accuracy of the scale it doesnt seem to far off. the scale here at my work has a correction of +/- 25# as its used to measuring in the hundreds of thousands of pounds. and the other weight was used at the dragstrips scale.
as for the seats i will weigh the stockers they are in storage, but the ones in her car are 16# a seat.
