Talking got it home

A friend & I drove from Norfolk to Radford, Va. this morning and I picked up my "new" SRT6. SSB, charcoal interior, 16.5K miles, garage kept, brand new Michelins. Car looks as new and I am thrilled to have found it.
I previously drove a friends 06 Crossfire Limited, which got me hooked, and I thought it had a comfortable ride for a sports car. Well let me tell you "THERE'S NO COMPARISON" between the Limited and the SRT6 ride. I felt bumps that I didn't even see and after hitting some speed bumps on I-64 near Norfolk I may need back surgery! SRT6 roadster owners beware, not wearing your seat belt may cause unexpected ejection from vehicle. Talk about sport suspension! I wish our highways were in as good of condition as race tracks. Radford is hilly/mountainous, your ears will pop, and the car powered up the inclines with no strain, talk about torque!
Long story short...what an amazing car! My next will probably be a Lincoln TownCar.

Congratulations.
I placed my SRT on an auto carrier as the trip was long, about 1900 miles and the winter was messy. I know what you mean about the ride, my brother asked if my roadster had the same ride after he got it home of course you know what I told him, nope.
Lincoln Town cars are large enough to carry the SRT in the trunk, no?

Enjoy the ride in your new smile maker.

Hi Rip It, congrats on getting your SRT home. You should take Nicks advice and join in the fun at the Dragon meet comming up in April. You may want to consider installing a set of Koni adjustable shocks. You can dial in your ride and smooth out the road a bit. When it is time to play dial her down and hit the gas. Rob at Needswings.com can can help you with the Koni's and about anything else you need for the SRT.

I got to say I was dreading it being it was a 3+ day trip being by myself and Im not big on driving long distance and especially buying a car across the country, but the it was a great deal, car, and from a well known member.

I absolutely enjoyed it and especially seeing so many different places and meeting new people. I think one time I'll make the drive back east and do the Dragon Run.

Three words. Koni. Sports. Shocks.

OTOH, had you bought from a dealer w/90 day warranty, you could have run the rear shocks back for a change according to the TSB.

I mentioned this issue to a stranger willing to listen. His reply "you will get used to it" and he is right. This car is capable of cornering much better than I am! Each day I drive this SRT6 the more amazed I become that I didn't have to pay $70,000 for it.
I am still trying to wipe this s***eating grinn off my face!!!!
Porsche 944 turbo for sale.

Don't bother, my friend. After almost 7 years behind the wheel of my SRT-6, I've
still got the grin. Around here, we call it the "permagrin", cause it don't fade.

Best of luck (from a fellow Tidewater native).
