I knew it was a matter of time before my IC pump went out. Just ordered a Johnson pump. Why in the hell didn't MB use a different pump if they knew the Bosch was a PoS? Oh well wish me luck....

LOL!! I have been a lurker for years on the board and have seen all the IC posts and was hoping I would be the lucky one, but nope. Wonder how many SRT's have had this problem out there?

 

they all will in the end...I was ready to replace mine awhile back, but ran out of time....so both mine are still stock....although the roadster has a newer bosch on it...so it has been replaced once...johnson on the shelf just waiting....

 

There are those that have had the problem and the others that will. lol

How many miles did you get out of it? The good news is you knew exactly what the problem was, and how to fix it yourself.

 

getting even aren't we....my ole' Johnson gets tuned every once in awhile....and it is a he....lol.....ok, back on topic....before we get in trouble....Gary is always lurkin'....

 

I'm relieved that Doc realized my last post wasn't directed at him LOL !

 

I just ordered one from eurocharged. Gonna put it in this weekend.

I have a feeling that it was just a bad batch of those OE IC pumps. I
had one fail, and within about a year the replacement (warranty, so OE
pump) failed. Again, a warranty replacement, and I've not had another
problem in close to 5 years. I've got 99K miles on the clock, so it isn't
like I don't drive the car. But the last OE IC pump seems to be holding
strong.
