Lift gate won't lock.
 

When I lock my car there is a hissing noise coming from the trunk behind the passenger seat, and the lift gate is not locking. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sound like a pressure air hose is not tight or have been pulled out of its socket. They are yellow. Pull out interior in the back and listen while locking..

The hose for the pneumatic locking system has a bad habit of breaking in the area of the black boot at the top of the hatch due to constant flexing.

I cannot remember which side it is, so listen and see, I suspect the right side.

Carefully pull back the boot and repair the break. There are articles here to enable you to do it easily. Replacing the hose in its entirety or just locally are the options. Do not replace it with the same material as it is crap.
