blown light fuse now dead key fobs?

I had a problem with an led license plate light which had burnt out. I went to replace one and seeing as they are not labeled positive or negative i must have put it in backwards as the other light went out and i lost my dash cluster as well.
That was a simple fix with the supplied spare fuse and everything appeared to be fine until i got home. I got out of the car and went to lock it, and nothing happend. BOTH my key fobs seem to have lost the programing. Has anyone experienced this before or have any idea what it could be?
The car starts fine and i havent found anything else to be not working.
I tried the search but only a few mentioned problems with the key fobs yet none like what im experiencing

There was a post on here somewhere about DIY FOB re-programing. Something about leaving the key in position 2 for a while.... something like that. Keep searching, good luck.

yea i tried that reprogram step in the manual for both. i think one of them just simply broke as i did try it and found that one will do absolutely nothing but the other one will lock/unlock as long as its within a couple feet of the ignition. id guess a new battery and i would alteast have one fully working remote. I probably wont get to it tomorrow as there a hurricane about to hit here. Will update hopefully monday

jared - I know this is an old thread but this problem with the LED blowing the fuse for the license plate lights and the interior lights (i.e. dash, center console) just happened to me yesterday. I must have put the new LED I purchased into the license plate light fixture the wrong way. Either way, does anyone know what fuse this is that needs to be replaced (fuse 10?)?

I had decided to buy the LEDs without the load resistors this time around (they are considerably cheaper), and this is what happens. Go figure. This is what I get for being cheap!

I know I can probably find my answer in the owner's manual, but anyone?

Found it in the manual. For those interested, if your dash lights (gauges) or license plate lights are out, Fuse 11 of the interior fuse box has likely burned out. The interior fuse box can be found on the driver side of the dash, in the compartment between the dash and the door. The door must be opened to access.
