Default New to the SRT-6 world, here's a quick video of mine!

I'm new to the forums, I'm new to my Crossfire. My video has been posted by a kind forum user already, but I would also like to post it myself if you happen to have any questions!

I'm from Orange County too! Florida, that is. You have good taste in music for sure. Now you have the ability to evade those with Crown Vics and strobes, but radios are still faster. JK. Enjoy all the knowledge at your fingertips on this great site and community.

I'm a fan of everything except the hanging bear thing. I see it all the time and don't get it. I have my photon torpedos and phasers on the dash to blast sunday drivers! (not really, but it was a fad, once) Welcome to the insanity.

Welcome to SRT6 ownership. Love those powder coated wheels. Mine are almost the same color at the moment but they're powder coated with brake dust from the OEM pads.

I also like the comment you got on YouTube about being too young to be the owner of an SRT6. ROFL.....these cars are ridiculously cheap at the moment. They are one of the greatest bargains in the world of sports cars. But shhhh! Let em think you're rollin in dough.

Looks like you're taking very good care of your new toy. Enjoy! And be safe!.

And BTW great choice of music for the sound track. I love Johnny Cash's stuff from the late part of his career, American Recordings, Unchained, The Man Comes Around. Even though he was losing his voice and lungs at that point, there was some quality, something real, that is hardly ever captured in a recording and it makes his later stuff riveting and classic.

That would have been me. Regardless of how "cheap" you think they are at the moment, where does an 18 yr old get the cash, financial history or credit rating to afford a $15-20K car without some help from mom, dad, g-ma or g-pa? I surely couldn't afford a vehicle that expensive when I was in the Air Force at the same age, and my bills were only the car payment, insurance, and clothing.

No offense to you, Garrebearr, congrats actually, for getting such a sweet ride. But I would question most parents letting a young adult drive such a powerful vehicle, unless said young adult has had plenty of wheel time with high HP sports cars. Heck, I blew up two 4 bangers before I turned 18 thinking of beating V-8 muscle cars. Just sayin'. Not that you would have many problems beating stock pony cars in an SRT.

At 18, I had a brand new SRT-4... at the time it was $24,000.

E-3 in the Air Force and paying bills just fine...

Priorities... lol

I had no prior credit history or cosigner. I could have easily afforded nearly any ride I wanted, just couldn't get approved without someone else's signature. Mind you, this was 15 years ago and banks weren't throwing money at every Tom, ****, and Harry. Not that they're doing that anymore.

When my son was 18, I helped him pick up a 300ZX Twin Turbo, which eventually became mine because he had his license suspended for 2 years. He had a very heavy foot. Now that he's 30, he's calmed down quite a bit, especially having 2 kids which really helps. He now drives the SRT-4 family car.
