Default Electric Motor switches on???

Hi All,

Does anyone know what is happening??

Whenever the temperature reaches about half (normal operating temp) and I pull up to a stop, I hear a noise coming from the engine bay that resembles a small motor turning on (sounds like windscreen washer motor) then switches off again. When this happens the engine revs about 1000rpms higher then drops back off?

I don't think it is anything that effects the performance, but is it something could lead to nastier things, something that isn't working properly?

Is it a sensor turning something on or off?

Guys, I would appreciate any advice you could share..

I should probably add that my car has done 27,000 miles, has anyone else had the same issue?

Cheers

It's testing the SAI system. Normal, if the pump fails you will get a P0410 CEL.
